There are the real public opinion polls and then there the Official public opinion polls. The former are very accurate and we do them almost daily. The latter are made up with White House admonishings strongly in mind. These admonitions? Play it our way…or else we get our supporters to cut off your fucking advertising, punk! This means that when Bush has had a real 35% approval rating for the last six months, the national polls suddenly speak about “bounces” and rising points. Forget this. Bush is in a slow, steady decline and hovers around the mid-thirties. Even rigged incidents like the laughable “liquid bombs” the Brits concocted some time back didn’t raise the President’s approval by so much as one half a point so they told the media to knock it off. Now, if this silly shit had caused him to gain ever one point, we would see the story plastered all over the front pages for at least three weeks, forcing out the propaganda about Iran.

We here know that the Administration, ever friendly to the oil people, have asked the latter to lower the price of gas at the pump until after the November elections. Note how his friends were eager to help George out. After all, it was soaring gas prices that did Jimmy Carter in.

Don’t believe the polls, ever because they are easy to fake. Remember when Reagan was running against Carter? Do you remember the ludicrous claims that Carter was always “surging ahead?/” All lies, I can assure you, having been involved in working this racket before joining the staff of the President. Now, when you read about Bush being at 45% with maybe a bounce, forget it. George and his boys are at the end of their stick and I doubt if there will be any surprises in November.

And Bush is still frantically trying to get some kind of legislation in place so he and his crime partners can escape future prosecution for what are genuine war crimes. If George were a gentleman instead of a punk, he would take his Daddy’s issue .45 and swallow it and then we can all get back to normal living.

I recall some time back, when a light plane strayed into the “Forbidden Zone” around the White House, a panic evacuation of the staff was hilarious to watch. All kinds of panting chubbies, clutching pictures of Mom or their favorite plant, waddled away from the supposedly doomed Monkey Palace, tongues out, eyes bulging with fright. Now, everything is reversed. Now the fear-crazed ones are rushing into the White House, babbling with animal fear. A stray plane? No, the perception (rarely spoken of before) that the GOP will for sure lose the House and very probably the Senate in November has raised the equal probability that if the Democrats are successful, many now looting and shoving baskets full of bribe money into their car trunks will end up disgraced and poverty stricken. But Our Beloved Leader, George Bush is in an actual state of acute fear that he might be impeached (likely) and, even more frightening, hauled before the World Court as a war criminal! Joy to contemplate!

But George will not be alone. From someone in the French Embassy, I learn that “certain current American supporters” are actually plotting to commit blasphemy and make Bush and his vicious and lunatic cronies pay the price. I was told, partially in jest, that if the IDF dared to invade Lebanon again with French “peacekeepers” in place, they are under orders to return fire and blast the IDF into small pieces. Note that the French have a competent air force and Israel would then get back in spades what they did to the innocent Lebanese civilians. My French friend said, over lunch, that it was fine for Israel to slaughter Arab children and old people in Palestine and Gaza but when they encounter real men, they run away, whimpering. Egypt is being pressured by the Muslim Brotherhood to abrogate their treaty with Israel and join the other Arab states. Hezbollah has, in only a few weeks, proved the IDF to be a paper tiger and paper burns brightly. (See Blake on this)

We all knew it was going to happen sooner or later. I am referring to the so-called “revolt” in Congress wherein powerful Republicans repudiated, officially, Bush’s attempt to do away with America’s support of the Geneva Convention. The funny part of this is the President’s reaction. He was livid with rage, ranted at various Republican legislators, threatened them with retaliation and in general, used language more appropriate to a whore house dispute over the price of a lay. A friend was there and taped most of the screaming tirade. It genuinely shocked the legislators and after Bush had gone away, their comments were priceless to hear. One of the Senators, normally a gentleman, called Bush a ‘motherfucker’ and another Senator, a “loyal supporter,” said, “You shouldn’t say that. You know he’s been trying to quit!” Roars of laughter. No friends there!

Back in the White House, at least a dozen of my co-workers have been talking about Bush’s unhinged rantings. Some of the staff are going to quit over this and it is obvious that he has finally gone around the bend. I heard none of this but I did see him for a moment and his face was a mask of loonie rage, mottled, contorted and looking like a Japanese kabuki mask. Bush is a man filled with hate. This is something often found in closet gays who suffer from constant fear of exposure mixed with intense self-hated. Nixon was strongly suspected of having had an affair with Bebe Reboza but Bush is known for his hidden pranks. More on this later, plus a transcription of the confrontation.

I am going to take some time off writing about the Celestial Pig Farm at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. to discuss the activities of a good friend of mine that some of you will find as inspiring and joy-inspiring as I and my friends have.

This good friend of mine was second in line to run a very wealthy family trust fund. His uncle, who ran it for years, was an arch Republican, called “Black Stocking GOP,” who was a firm supporter of Israel, a heavy contributor to the Bush people, a great and abiding supporter of the CIA (whom he let use an overseas company he owned) and other, entirely predictable attitudes.

Several weeks ago, the uncle died and my friend now heads the family trust. The first thing he did was to divest the fund of any business connections with Israel. When his brokerage house demurred, claiming objections from the Department of State, he told them, “I am not asking you to do this, I am ordering you to do this.” When they still babbled about problems, he promptly fired them. And dumped the Israeli electronic stocks en bloc and at the market.

He notified the advertising agency his trust used and forbade them to advertise in any paper or on any television entity that supported Bush, the State of Israel , the Iraqi war or even Bush-loving Joe Lieberman. with the warning that if they disobeyed him, they would go the way of the brokerage house.

They obeyed.

Also, his uncle was a massive contributor to the Republican Party. Uncle had pledged millions for the upcoming election. My friend then notified the GOP that he refused to honor any of his late uncle’s pledges and further notified both parties that any of their members who had voted for the Iraqi war were also cut adrift.

He moved to shut down the CIA-friendly overseas company, sacking all the employees en masse and confiscating all the personnel records and, more important, all their banking records.

Since he owned the company, he plans to make these financial records public.

On the Internet!

To say there has been much wailing and gnashing of teeth would be an understatement. From what I know about the matter, the placing of his company’s bank records on the Internet will, without a doubt, cause terminal spastic colon in some circles.

By now, the late uncle is certainly spinning in his grave. When I mentioned this to my friend, he replied that the next time he visited the cemetery, he would see if the ground was still undulating when he pissed on the turf.

All is well, my friend says, that ends well.

With the frightening November mid term elections coming upon us, there has been a growing panic in senior, and junior, Republicans, both inside and outside of Congress. A probably loss of the House and a very possible loss of the Senate is stirring up panic. Why? Because there is no doubt that if the Democrats gain control of the House, there will be impeachment articles drawn up with Bush as their target and very probably serious investigations launched by them into certain senior Republicans for, among other matters, massive corruptions and bribery. There have been hinted at ‘October surprises’ which may or may not happen or, if they do, have any success. One of Cheney’s aides and I have become on good terms because I have connections outside of the White House he could make use of in the event of a major defeat. Cheney is a genuinely evil man who is primarily responsible for our present situation. We have lost face throughout the world, especially the Muslim world, but also throughout Asia and parts of Central and South America due to his vicious policies. Rumsfeld is rapidly becoming a cipher, due in part to his current illness and the very obvious fact that he is, to be nice, a very “confused man.” (Read pre-Alzheimer’s here). The military hate him with a passion because he treats all of them, top generals and all, like scum. Someone, and my new friend doesn’t know who, has suggested an interesting ploy to bolster Bush’s collapsing image (Cheney’s approval rating is now in single digits.)

The basic plan, as being formulated involving Bush, Cheney, Mehlman, Rove and some senior staff to include the new head of the CIA, General Hayden, is to have a splendid publicity coup that they feel would guarantee continued Republican control of both houses.

The idea, and I will admit it is awesome in its simplicity, is for the Administration to bribe the warring factions in Iraq to have a long truce during the course of which they will slow down or entirely stop their attacks on our military and each other.! This weird plan is indeed being “considered” but the chances of it ever seeing the light of day are absolutely zero. The Arabs would gleefully take out money…and then turn on us. The military would flatly agree to have anything to do with this and for certain, some minor player would go to the press.

Another plan is for Bush to tell the voting public how successful he and his grossly incompetent people have repeatedly saved, and will continue to save, their blessed Americans from numerous “terrorist attacks.’ There have not and are completely incapable of doing so. There is not one verifiable attack on record as either having been uncovered by the demoralized and depleted CIA or the utterly useless DHS. It is well-known all over Washington that the Bush people have paid ABC for a mini-series blaming Clinton for 911 while ignoring their own really serious role in it.

In law, there are two kinds of evidence: direct and circumstantial. A case of the former is an old lady, having been primed by the police stating that that person sitting over there was the man I saw shooting the nice policeman. The second type is for the pistol used to shoot the policeman being registered to the suspect, dozens of witnesses attesting to his intentions, bus tickets placing him at the scene and the fact that the slain officer had previously raped the man’s ten year old daughter. Any attorney with courtroom experience will tell you that circumstantial evidence trumps direct evidence every time.

That being the case, I can tell you that all the circumstantial evidence on pre-knowledge of the 9/11 attack very clearly points to the fact that George W. Bush, his top people, to include, Vice President Cheney, Attorney General John Ashcroft, top advisor Karl Rove, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and very probably a number of other senior government persons had been well and very timely informed of the attack, when it would happen, where it would happen and how it would happen. That they did and said nothing but awaited the attack for the many political opportunities it would afford the President and the leadership makes all of them willing parties to murder. At law, this is called being an accessory before the fact.

Now, lest my readers believe that I am relying on wishful thinking or some nonsensical blog, I will supply as my brief, a long and thoroughly referenced listing addressing the issue of who knew what and when.

My suggestion is that one should read it and make up their own mind. We do not need the army of liars working for Bush or the ABC whitewash to think for us.


The Circumstantial Evidence

The 1993 World Trade Center bombing resulted in intelligence that indicated that Al Qaeda had planned the attack and was planning further attacks on bridges and tunnels in New York City.

1993: An expert panel commissioned by the Pentagon raises the possibility that an airplane could be used to bomb national landmarks. [Washington Post 10/2/01]

In 1995, an Al Qaeda group headed by one Ramzi Youssef, was planning to seize and blow up 12 commercial aircraft over the Pacific. One Abdul Hakim Murad, a co-conspirator of Youssef, admitted to U.S. authorities that he had been trained at American flight schools and had been involved in a plot to crash a commercial aircraft into the CIA headquarters at Langley, Virginia.

1998: U.S. investigators discover that Al Qaeda personnel involved in the Embassy bombings in Africa are part of a larger plan involving the training of terrorist members at American flight schools for attacks on American targets.

1998: The CIA ignore warnings from Case Officer Robert Baer, that Saudi Arabia is harboring an Al Qaeda cell led by two known terrorists. A more detailed list of known terrorists is offered to Saudi intelligence in August 2001 and refused. [Financial Times, January 12, 2001]

1998: An Oklahoma City FBI agent sends a memo warning that "large numbers of Middle Eastern males" are getting flight training and could be planning terrorist attacks. [CBS, 5/30/02] A separate CIA intelligence report asserts that Arab terrorists are planning to fly a bomb-laden aircraft into the WTC. [New York Times, 9/19/02; Senate Intelligence Committee, Witness Hill, 9/18/02]

December 1998: A Time magazine cover story entitled "The Hunt for Osama," reports that bin Laden may be planning his boldest move yet -- a strike on Washington or possibly New York City. [Time magazine, 12/21/98]

1999: It is learned that Al Qaeda personnel were plotting to blow up the Los Angeles International airport and selected targets in Jordan. Following the trial of an Al Qaeda man, Ahmen Ressam who was caught smuggling explosives into the United States, the FAA issues an official warning that Al Qaeda is expected to conduct explosive outrages against commercial aircraft or American airports.

Following this emerged a number of actual Al Qaeda threats against targets in the United States, often involving aircraft and aircraft facilities.

In the period just prior to the September 11 aircraft attack on American targets, numerous specific reports were delivered from what can only be termed entirely reliable foreign sources (as distinct from domestic intelligence reporting).

September 1999: A U.S. intelligence report states bin Laden and Al Qaeda terrorists could crash an aircraft into the Pentagon. The Bush administration claims not to have heard of this report until May 2002, although it was widely shared within the government. [CNN, 5/18/02, Associated Press, 5/18/01; Guardian, 5/19/02]

1999: MI6, the British foreign intelligence agency delivers a secret report to the London U.S. Embassy stating that Al Qaeda plans to use commercial aircraft "possibly as flying bombs." [Sunday Times, 6/9/02]

October 24-26, 2000: Pentagon officials carry out a "detailed" emergency drill based upon the crashing of a hijacked airliner into the Pentagon. [Source Military District of Washington News Service, 11/3/00] The White House later asserts that no one in government had envisioned a suicide hijacking. [Associated Press report, May 18, 2002]

January, 2001: The Bush Administration orders the FBI and intelligence agencies to "back off" investigations involving the bin Laden family, including two of Osama bin Laden's relatives (Abdullah and Omar) who were living in Falls Church, VA -- right next to CIA headquarters. This followed previous orders dating back to 1996, frustrating efforts to investigate the bin Laden family. [BBC “Newsnight,” Correspondent Gregg Palast, Nov 7, 2001]

Feb 13, 2001: UPI Terrorism Correspondent Richard Sale -- while covering a trial of bin Laden's al Qaeda followers -- reports that the National Security Agency has broken bin Laden's encrypted communications. Even if this indicates that bin Laden changed systems in February, it does not mesh with the fact that the government insists that the attacks had been planned for years.

May 2001: The U.S. introduces the "Visa Express" program allowing any Saudi Arabian to obtain visas through their travel agent instead of appearing at a consulate in person. Three to five hijackers use Visa Express over the next month to enter the U.S. [US News & World Report, 12/12/01, Congressional Intelligence Committee, 9/20/02, Witness Hill]

June 2001: German intelligence, the BND, warns the CIA and Israel that Middle Eastern terrorists are "planning to hijack commercial aircraft to use as weapons to attack important symbols of American and Israeli culture." [Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, September 14, 2001]

June 13, 2001: Egyptian President Mubarak, through his intelligence services, warns the U.S. that bin Laden's Islamic terrorist network is threatening to kill Bush and other G8 leaders at their July economic summit meeting in Italy. The terrorists plan to use a plane stuffed with explosives. [New York Times, 9/26/01]

Summer 2001: An Iranian man phones U.S. law enforcement to warn of an imminent attack on the World Trade Center in the week of September 9. German police confirm the calls but state the U.S. Secret Service would not reveal any further information. [German news agency online.de, September 14, 2001]

June 2001: German intelligence warns the CIA, Britain's MI6, and Israel's Mossad that Middle Eastern terrorists are training for hijackings and targeting U.S. and Israeli symbols. [“Fox News,” 5/17/02]

June 26, 2001: The CIA informs the White House that they had intercepted foreign intelligence traffic concerning possible Al Qaeda strikes in America on July 4.

Summer 2001: Russian intelligence notifies the CIA that 25 terrorist pilots have been specifically training for suicide missions.

June 22, 2001: The military's Central and European Commands impose "Force Protection Condition Delta," the highest anti-terrorist alert.

June 28, 2001: National security advisor Condoleeza Rice states: "It is highly likely that a significant Al Qaeda, attack is in the near future, within several weeks."

July 1, 2001: Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-California) a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee states that her staff had advised her of a “major probability of a terrorist incident within the next three months.” [Emphasis added]

July 2, 2001: The FBI reports to the White House that Al Qaeda terrorist attacks outside the United States are very possible and that domestic attacks could not be discounted.

July 5, 2001: The CIA informs President Bush that Al Qaeda attacks against American targets are entirely possible during the summer of that year.

July 5, 2001: The government's top counter-terrorism official, Richard Clarke states to a group gathered at the White House: "Something really spectacular is going to happen here, and it's going to happen soon." The group included the FAA, the Coast Guard, the FBI, the Secret Service, and the INS. Clarke directs every counter-terrorist office to cancel vacations, defer non-vital travel, put off scheduled exercises and place domestic rapid response teams on much shorter alert.

July 10, 2001: A Phoenix FBI agent sends a memorandum warning about Middle Eastern men taking flight lessons. He suspects bin Laden's followers and recommends a national program to check visas of suspicious flight-school students. The memo is sent to two FBI counter-terrorism offices, but no action is taken. [New York Times, 5/21/02] Vice President Cheney says in May 2002 that he opposes releasing the memo to congressional leaders or to the media and public. [CNN, 5/20/02]

July 26, 2001: Attorney General Ashcroft stops flying commercial airlines due to a threat assessment. [CBS, 7/26/01] He later walks out of his office rather than answer questions about this. [Associated Press, 5/16/02]

July 3l, 2001: The FAA urges U.S. airlines to maintain a "high degree of alertness."

Late July 2001: The U.S. and UN ignore warnings from the Taliban foreign minister that bin Laden is planning an imminent huge attack on US soil. The FBI and CIA also fail to take seriously, warnings that Islamic fundamentalists have enrolled in flight schools across the U.S. [Independent, 9/7/02]

August 2001: Russian President Vladimir Putin orders Russian intelligence to warn the U.S. government "in the strongest possible terms" of imminent attacks by suicide pilots on airports and government buildings. [MS-NBC interview with Putin, September 15, 2001, Fox, September 17, 2001]

August 2001: The FBI arrests an Islamic militant linked to bin Laden in Boston. French intelligence sources confirm that the man is a key member of bin Laden's network and the FBI learns he has been taking flying lessons. At the time of his arrest the man is in possession of technical information on Boeing aircraft and flight manuals. [Reuters, September 13 2001]

Late summer 2001: Jordanian intelligence agents go to Washington to warn that a major attack is planned inside the U.S. and that aircraft will be used. Christian Science Monitor calls the story "confidently authenticated" even though Jordan later backs away from it. [Christian Science Monitor, 5/23/02]

August 6, 2001: The CIA also presents a warning to the President, explicitly concerned with terrorism inside the United States, indicating that bin Laden might be planning to hijack commercial airliners. Actual content of this message has been the subject of considerable debate, with White House officials understandably downplaying its significance. [Time magazine, May 16, 2002; New York Times, May 16, 2002]

August 15, 2001: An alert civilian instructor at a Minnesota flight school calls the FBI: "Do you realize that a 747 loaded with fuel can be a bomb?" The next day, Zacarias Moussaoui was arrested. After investigating Zacarias Moussaoui's past, the FBI (with the help of French Intelligence) learns that he had Islamic extremist connections. They also knew he was interested in flight patterns around New York City, and that he had a strong desire to fly big jets, even though at the time he didn't have a license for flying even a Cessna.

August 20, 2001: The French government strongly informs high level American authorities about pending attacks on American targets, using commercial aircraft.

August 8-23, 2001: Two high ranking Israeli Mossad agents come to Washington to warn the FBI and CIA that up to 200 terrorists have slipped into the U.S. and are planning an imminent major assault in the U.S. Indications point to a highly visible target. [Telegraph, 9/16/01; Los Angeles Times, 9/16/01; “Fox News,” 5/17/02] The Mossad gives the CIA a list of terrorists. A major Israeli spy ring was hard on the heels of at least four members of the 9/11 hijackers, including lead hijacker Mohammed Atta. [BBC, 10/2/01]

August 24, 2001: The head of the Mossad reports the imminence of an Arab attack against American targets; a similar report was made by the Mossad on <>September 7, 2001<>.

August 24, 2001: Frustrated with lack of response from FBI headquarters about detained suspect Moussaoui, the Minnesota FBI begins working with the CIA. The CIA sends alerts calling him a "suspect 747 airline suicide hijacker." Three days later an FBI Minnesota supervisor says he is trying keep Moussaoui from “taking control of a plane and fly it into the WTC." [Senate Intelligence (Hill #2), 10/17/02] FBI headquarters chastises Minnesota FBI for notifying the CIA. [Time magazine, 5/21/02]

August 2001: Britain gives the U.S. another warning about an Al Qaeda attack. The previous warning was vague. This one specifies imminent multiple airplane hijackings by Al Qaeda. [Sunday Herald, May 19, 2002]

Late August, 2001: The CIA asks the INS to put (these two of the hijackers) Khalid al-Midhar and Nawaf Alhazmi on a watch list because of their ties to the bombing of the U.S.S. Cole. On August 23, 2001, the INS informed the CIA that both Khalid al-Midhar and Nawaf Alhazmi had already slipped into the country. Immediately thereafter, the CIA asked the FBI to find al-Midhar and Alhazmi. This should not have been difficult, since one of them was listed in the San Diego phone book, and the other took out a bank account in his own name; also, an FBI informant happened to be their roommate.

September 10, 2001: NSA intercepts two messages in Arabic. One message read: “Tomorrow is zero hour,” and the second: “The match begins tomorrow.” [New York Times, August 10, 2002; Reuters, June 19, 2002] On June 19, 2002, CNN reported the contents of these two National Security Agency intercepts. Other news outlets, including the Washington Post, also reported on the intercepts. [New York Times, August 10, 2002]

A particularly urgent warning was received the night before the attacks, causing some top Pentagon brass to suddenly cancel travel plans for the next morning, apparently because of “sudden security concerns.” [Newsweek, 9/12/2001] “Why that same information was not available to the 266 people who died aboard the four hijacked commercial aircraft may become a hot topic on the Hill." [Newsweek, 9/13/2001]

September 11, 2001: For 35 minutes, from 8:15 AM until 9:05 AM, although widely known within the FAA and the military that four planes have been simultaneously hijacked and taken off course, no one notifies the President of the United States. It is not until 9:30 AM that any Air Force planes are scrambled to intercept, but by then it is too late. This means the National Command Authority waited for 75 minutes before scrambling aircraft, even though it was known that four simultaneous hijackings had occurred -- an event that has never happened in history. [CNN; ABC; MS-NBC; Los Angeles Times; New York Times]

Department of Defense (6/1/01) and FAA (7/12/01) procedure: In the event of a hijacking, the FAA hijack coordinator on duty at Washington headquarters requests the military to provide escort aircraft. Normally, NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) escort aircraft take the required action. The FAA notifies the National Military Command Center by the most expeditious means. [DoD, 6/1/01; FAA, 7/12/01; FAA, 7/12/01] If NORAD hears of any difficulties in the skies, they begin the work to scramble jet fighters [take off and intercept aircraft that are off course]. Between September 2000 and June 2001 fighters were scrambled 67 times. [AP, 8/12/02] When the Lear jet of golfer Payne Stewart didn’t respond in 1999, F-16 interceptors were quickly dispatched. According to an Air Force timeline, a series of military planes provided an emergency escort to Payne’s stricken Lear about 20 minutes after ground controllers lost contact with his plane.[Dallas Morning News, 10/26/99]

September 11, 2001:

8:20 AM (approx.): Air traffic controllers suspect Flight 11 has been hijacked. [New York Times, 9/15/01]

8:40 AM: NORAD is notified of hijacking. [New York Times, 10/16/01; Washington Post, 9/15/01]

8:46 AM: Flight 11 crashes into the World Trade Center north tower (approximately 26 minutes after controllers lost contact). [New York Times, 9/12/01]

8:46 AM: Bush later states, "I was sitting outside the classroom and I saw an airplane hit the tower. The TV was on.” [CNN 12/4/01] “When we walked into the classroom, I had seen this plane fly into the first building.” [White House, 1/5/02]

8:52 AM: Two F-15s take off from Otis Air Force Base. [Washington Post, 9/15/01] They go after Flight 175. Major General Paul Weaver, director of the Air National Guard, states "the pilots flew like a scalded ape, topping 500 mph but were unable to catch up to the airliner. We had a nine-minute window, and in excess of 100 miles to intercept 175. There was just literally no way.'' [Dallas Morning News, 9/15/01] F-15's fly at up to 2.5 times the speed of sound (1875 mph or 30+ miles a minute or 270+ miles in nine minutes) and are designed for low-altitude, high-speed, precision attacks. [BBC]

8:56 AM: By this time, it is evident that Flight 77 is lost. The FAA, already in contact with the Pentagon about the two hijackings out of Boston, reportedly doesn’t notify NORAD of this until 9:24, 28 minutes later. [New York Times, 10/16/01]

9:03 AM: Flight 175 crashes into the south WTC tower (23 minutes after NORAD notified, 43 minutes after air traffic control lost contact with pilots). [New York Times, 9/12/01, CNN, 9/12/01]

9:10 AM: Major General Paul Weaver states Flight 77 came back on the (radar) scope at 9:10 in West Virginia. [Dallas Morning News, 9/15/01] Another report states the military was notified of Flight 77 several minutes after 9:03. [Washington Post, 9/1/01]

9:24 AM [? – see above]: The FAA, who 28 minutes earlier had discovered Flight 77 off course and heading east over West Virginia, reportedly notifies NORAD. A Pentagon spokesman says, "The Pentagon was simply not aware that this aircraft was coming our way." [Newsday, 9/23/01; New York Times, 9/23/01] Yet since the first crash, military officials in a Pentagon command center were urgently talking to law enforcement and air traffic control officials about what to do. September 12, 2001: Senator Orrin Hatch says the US was monitoring bin Laden supporters and overheard them discussing the attack. [ABC, 9/1/01; Associated Press, 9/12/01]

September 13-19, 2001: Members of bin Laden's family are driven or flown under FBI supervision to a secret assembly point in Texas and then to Washington, where they leave the country on a private charter plane when airports reopen three days after the attacks. [New York Times, September 30, 2001]

In all of the speculations concerning pre-knowledge of this attack, one concept stands out above all the denials and accusations:

How could an obviously sophisticated terrorist plan involving perhaps as many as 50 identified persons and in training for at least two years, possibly escape the notice of our intelligence services, especially the CIA or the NSA? When one considers the number of people involved in this plot, the wide-spread geographical locations of the plotters, the fact that most of them used a telephone system long known to be thoroughly and completely compromised by the US NSA, for international calls, and that large amounts of cash were transferred from foreign banks to American accounts, the idea that none of the American intelligence and counter-intelligence agencies had the slightest warning of impending disaster, is completely impossible to believe.

This will be a scrap bag of commentary this week. I had a medical check up at the U.S. Navy facility at Bethesda recently and my doctor was discussing Bush. He does not like him at all but, I stress, he is not Bush’s doctor. It is the general belief that Bush is probably suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder. He told me about this (you can check it out on Google) and listed some of the symptoms some of his colleagues (who have actually had contact with the President) noted. The symptoms are:

1. frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment.

2. a pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation

3. identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self

4. impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating).

5. recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behavior

6. affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days)

7. chronic feelings of emptiness

8. inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights)

9. transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms.

I am not now a medical person and make no claims to being one but much of this hits the nail right on the head. Make of it what you want.

Bush has run head on into the persona of General John Abizaid. The General is very competent in Middle East affairs and has run right up against Bush in public. Bush said there was no civil war in Iraq and the next day, the General flatly contradicted him. Abizaid, who is Lebanese and speaks the language, has stated that we need to win over the Arabs like Hezbollah does by taking care of the civil population and not just slaughtering them. Bush does not like the General and says unkind things about him…behind his back. The top military people, mostly Army and USMC brass, detest Bush and if he continues to ignore them while insulting them, he is in for serious problems. Note that Rumsfeld, whom the professionals hate as a stupid and pompous ass, ordered two armored units to be transferred from Germany to Iraq…and was promptly ignored. The units never left Germany and Rumsfeld has kept this insubordination very quiet. The Bush people have lost their power to frighten, both on the domestic and foreign fronts and that does not bode well for the next two years. When you have a highly irate, nasty President screeching at a public press conference that he will never leave Iraq as long as he is in office, this is a sign of severe psychological problems. There is not even an attempt at diplomacy, only a shrill child screaming child determined to have his way.

We have had a number of incompetent Presidents but beyond any doubt, George W. Bush is the worst. Aside from his compulsive, and easily exposed lies, let us consider Bush’s failures of his global war plans. Note: Portions of this material have previously been published on the Internet and in the foreign press but rarely addressed in the captive American media.

Five years after Bush ordered Afghanistan invaded and, true to form, smugly announced a complete U.S. military victory, US, and a very small number of ‘Allies” allied forces are struggling on a daily basis to defend their bases and supply lines against rising attacks from a growing number of Afghan resistance groups. The war in both Iraq and Afghanistan costs the American taxpayer $1.5 billion monthly. As an added bonus, US-ruled Afghan now produces over 80% of the world’s heroin. The US just quietly deployed thousands more troops to Afghanistan to hunt al-Qaida leaders Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri in a desperate attempt to save Republicans from heavy losses in November mid-term elections.

Remember Fat Karl Rove’s grotesque "Mission accomplished!" in Iraq? President Bush’s war in Iraq is clearly lost, but few dare admit it. The US has spent over $300 billion in taxpayer’s money on Afghanistan and Iraq, with nothing to show in either theater but chaos, civil war, body bags, and growing Iranian influence in Iraq and western Afghanistan. The Bush/Cheney "liberation" of Iraq has now cost more than the Vietnam War. So much for the "cakewalk." Iraq is likely the biggest American foreign policy disaster in living memory – even worse, in many ways, than Vietnam.

Down in the strategic Horn of Africa, another dangerous fiasco is unfolding. The White House had CIA and Pentagon have spent tens of millions of U.S. taxpayer’s money bribing Somali warlords to fight Islamist reformers trying to bring law and order to their strife-ravaged nation. The Islamists whipped CIA-backed warlords and ran them out of Somalia. Following this defeat, the US has encouraged and financed ally Ethiopia – shades of Lebanon – to invade Somalia, thus raising the threat of a wider war between Somalia, Ethiopia, and its old foe, Eritrea. Meanwhile, growing numbers of US Special Forces and CIA teams are getting drawn into obscure tribal mêlées in the Horn of Africa and the Saharan regions.

Lebanon is, of course, the fourth major American military disaster. Bush and Cheney encouraged Israel to launch the hugely destructive but militarily fruitless war in Lebanon as the first part of their long-nurtured plan to militarily crush Hezbullah, Syria and Iran. The Bush Administration brazenly thwarted world efforts to halt the conflict while giving Israel the green light to tear apart Lebanon. Now, just over a month later, Bush announces he will send $230 million to "help rebuild" Lebanon – the same Lebanon blasted apart by US smart bombs rushed by air to Israel by a sycophantic Bush. That the UN has condemned the use of these bombs is, of course, of no interest to either Bush or his opposite numbers in Israel

To Washington and Tel Avis’s, horror, Iran, and Syria emerged the war’s victors. Hezbollah is now the Muslim World’s new hero after battling Israel’s mighty armed forces to a humiliating draw. Even Syria’s President Bashar Asad, who played dead during the Lebanon War in fear of an Israeli attack, is now thumping his chest and crowing that Syria played a major role in the unexpected Arab victory.

Hezbollah’s triumph thwarted, at least for the moment, Bush/Cheney plans to attack Lebanon, Syria and Iran. The US and Israel have become so used to smashing nearly helpless foes armed with obsolete weapons – like Iraq, Taliban, or Palestine – that they were stunned to meet a force that had modern arms and could actually fight.

No sooner had bombing stopped than Hezbullah bulldozers were busy clearing rubble, and Hezbullah social workers resettling refugees. Perhaps President Bush should ask Hezbullah to take over rebuilding New Orleans and resettling all its refugees.

Israelis have now turned from fighting Arabs to furious finger-pointing. Politicians and generals are blaming each other for the Lebanon debacle that killed over eleven hundred 118 Israeli soldiers and 41 civilians, cost at least $6 billion, ruined the summer tourist trade, and, after a burst of initial sympathy, brought worldwide condemnation. And no captured soldiers – this war’s supposed objective – have been yet returned.

By turning a routine border skirmish into a big war, Israel’s PM Ehud Olmert showed he had no more grasp of military affairs than those other amateur warlords, Bush, Cheney and Tony Blair. Lebanon also showed that the western leaders learned nothing from their debacle in Iraq.

Now, some Washington hawks are wondering if invading Iran may not be the "cakewalk" that pro-Israel neoconservatives blithely promised. Iran’s Revolutionary Guards helped train and arm Hezbullah’s victorious fighters. Suddenly, neither the Israelis nor the Americans look so invincible. As Napoleon said, in war, the moral is to the physical as three to one.

America was the big loser in the Lebanon war. From Morocco to Indonesia, each night 1.5 billion Muslims watched the carnage in Lebanon on TV and blamed America. Even the poorest shepherd in Uzbekistan heard the US was airlifting the precision bombs and deadly cluster munitions to Israel used against Lebanese civilians.

Any hope of damping down the Islamic World’s surging hatred of the US, Britain, Australia and Israel (now add Canada) was killed in Lebanon. Even the interestingly-timed airport hysteria in London over alleged bomb plots failed to divert attention from the latest US-British Mideast policy disaster.

Yet the White House still keeps listening to absurd military advice from the same fanatically pro-Israel neoconservatives thirsting for conquest, oil and Muslim blood. Undaunted even by the fiasco in Lebanon, the Bush/Cheney White House is now heading into a full-blown crisis with Iran over its nuclear enrichment program.

As far as the civilian, domestic disasters, one need only mention the hurricane Katrina that clearly showed a total lack of interest (except for pro-Bush businessmen who reaped rich rewards) in the fate of poor New Orleans blacks. And of course we have the constant hyping of the fear factor to keep the electorate in line and supportive of the Republican’s murderous and short-sighed policies.

The posting of an intercepted conversation between an official of the Israeli Embassy and a party at AIPAC has drawn an enormous amount of attention. Nearly all of this is positive, I am told, but a number of parties have wondered how it could be authenticated. If they could advise me as to how they feel this conversation, and the many others I am now in the process of working up , can be authenticated, I will be happy to address the issue.

Perhaps a signed, notarized statement from the Israeli official involved might suffice but one has the distinct feeling that such a statement would never issue.

The initial conversation between an official of the Israeli Embassy in Washington and someone from the AIPAC, also in Washington, has had a tremendous reception, having been looked at over 100,000 times on our website alone, and has subsequently been reprinted on other websites around the world.

To date, we have had no comment from the Israeli Embassy proclaiming it to be false and there is a great deal of internal evidence that lends credence to its authenticity.

In the final analysis, it is the opinion of the reader that matters....to the reader.

This latest posting is important enough but the reader must know that neither of the parties are identified, although their telephone numbers are. One, the A party, is calling from a telephone located inside Washington’s plush Hay-Adams hotel while the second, the B party, is using the main telephone number of the United States Attorney’s office in New York City. It should be fairly obvious that one of the parties, the one in Washington, has some connection with the staff of the Vice President. The call was recorded on August 18, 2006 and I am only showing a portion of it. The rest of what was a 20 minute call is filled with trivia.

A: Plenty. In a twisted way, it makes sense. I suppose it does. Anyway, I have nothing to do with it and just knowing about something in advance is not a crime, unless someone can find a paper or remember a conversation that is.

B: Before the fact.

A: Right. That’s why I say you and your family should leave your nice Big Apple place about the ninth of October and go visit your relatives in Arizona. Then you can watch it on CNN.

B: How long a vacation?

A: Why not a week either way?

B: And you? Any vacation for you? But you don’t have any kids or plants to take care of.

A: True but Georgetown is pretty safe. New York won’t be. God knows what kind of chemicals will be in the air and a good wind coming from Jersey could bring some nasty surprises. Isn’t it better to be safe than sorry?

B: Sure. But packing up means stories to everyone and I would have to be cool and collected about it. The kids would miss Halloween parties if I stay long enough and there is school to consider. I suppose I ought to call home and get them to invite me. I can’t just drop in on them.

A: No but try not to sound concerned. How long since you’ve seen them out there?

B: About a year, give or take. I’ll start on this right away. Will you be involved?

A: Shit no. I told you I want to know nothing about all of this and…

B: No, no, no….I mean will you have to go down there?

A: No. I’m not important enough. He might not even go. He will probably put Bush up to going to show the flag as he could say, while he does what he’s been doing for six years now and that’s running the country. No, he’ll stay right here and make sure he can keep his eyes and his hands on everything. I know he’s been writing speeches and policy statements on this because I’ve seen several when I have been filing.

B: Does he know you look at things?

A: Christ, I hope not. I just smile and look admiring and once in a while, I get a brief smile or a nod. He wants so much to be the real President but it will never happen. Too many people hate him. He’s not all that bad privately but officially, he’s a real Beria, if you know what I mean. Competent, very much so, and cold as ice. Jesus, he really does not like Bush at all. I have heard him say things about him…he thinks he’s a basket case. You know, it’s funny because when he put himself on the ticket, he had no idea Bush would be such an intransigent nut. But he’s been waiting for real power for years and now that he has it, he’s not going to blow it. I don’t know why he just doesn’t cash in his stock options when the term is over and retire and write books. He’s got a really bum ticker and he could go at any time.

B: Quadruple bypass, right?

A: Oh yes, and he takes more pills than a hippie.

B: Then why does he care?

A: His precious party might lose everything he has worked towards for so many years, that’s why. If they lose in November, don’t forget, there could be investigations and I can tell you what with the stock business and the hidden bank accounts, he’d spend his last years in a Federal jail somewhere.

B: They think they’ll never get caught…

A: Or die. Anyway, you know enough not to tell your wife or anyone else about this heads up, don’t you. Two ways to get secret information out. Telephone and tell a woman.

B: My wife isn’t that way at all but I take your drift. I say nothing. But won’t one of the perps get sloshed and tell some cunt about it? Or his priest?

A: Don’t worry about priests. They’re using Jews for this one, like the last time. I think it’s rabbis, not priests.

B: They were involved in 2001…

A: Yes and they passed it on, knowing nothing would be done. And no one is going to nail them on this one because they can snitch about the last one. Hell, they’ve been using that one for leverage for five years now. They’re smart assholes, I’ll give them that.

B: Why that target and not something like the Liberty Bell? Or they could blow up a plane with a lot of top Democrats on board, right?

A: If the refinery goes, you can see and hear it in your apartment. No damage to New York but plenty of dramatic fireworks. Keep the media busy for months. At least it will be better than the Aruba adventure. You have to keep the number of in-the-know people down to about three. The hebe guy running this operation is from DC originally and Interpol is after him for his operation down under. Linden is right on the water and it’s easy in and easy out…if they’re lucky. Oh, and here’s a nice touch. They want to leave a dead raghead behind, like some guard shot him. I mean someone they have in jail, over there, not here, with a long record of militant activity and I mean well-documented. And one of my man’s people will accidentally discover him nice and dead with all kinds of fake evidence in his pockets, for certain putting the blame on bin Laden. And that’s a joke because bin Laden has been dead since ’03.

B: Did we ice him somewhere?

A: No. Kidney failure in a paki hospital. He makes a good boogeyman. You know the drill: If you don’t vote for us, the rotten, weak faggot Democrats will take over and bin Laden will rejoice and kill all of you.

B: It has worked before as I remember. Red Alerts and duct tape.

A: And then we can have real Red Alert days, just before elections.

B: As usual. Not to change the subject but how do you think the immigration votes will go? My people live in Tucson and they are worried sick about all of the beaners shooting each other over drugs. What will happen?

A: What do you think? They supply our friendly agribusiness tycoons with slave labor so we make a lot of noise and do nothing.

B: McCain…

A: He’s a nut. I guess being locked up in a zipperhead jail in solitary for five years snapped him.

I will take a break from publishing intercepts (more of these later) to take a close, inside, look at the situation here in the White House, as of this date.

The Republicans are becoming more and more restive, unhappy and, in many cases, frightened, by their plummeting poll numbers. They have to look forward to the November elections, after all, and Bush is a lame duck. The point is that everyone in this building and nearly everyone in Congress realizes that the Iraqi war and occupation is a total failure.

Resistance people are mortaring our troops and officials inside the allegedly “safe” Green Zone, (the public will never hear about this disaster…more intercepts!) casualties are rising every day and several days ago, Bush signed the papers allowing the military (the Marines first) to recall almost all recently discharged soldiers back to active duty in Iraq. In the latter case, the only ones exempt will be those who were badly wounded or discharged for criminal or psychological reasons. And, of course, the many dead are safe from future turmoil and pain.

All of these young men will be yanked back into service solely because Bush is hysterically determined never to move an inch on withdrawing from Iraq (and thereby suffering an embarrassing and fatal humiliation.)

If any of you watched his press conference earlier this week, you will realize that we are not led by a sane man.

Bush, and I have personally observed this first hand, is up against the wall and is responding with hysterical, almost feminine, rage. He shouted to the reporters that he was never going to leave Iraq, hardly the words of a politician eager to support his party in forthcoming elections. I, and many others, have heard some of his increasing screaming fits in the White House and his once-loyal staff here are either taking Prozac or looking for other jobs.

Polls show that most Americans view the Iraq mess, with its continuing military casualties, its raging civil war and massive daily civilian killings as not worth it and while the numbers of those who want it immediately stopped are not as high as they might be, the overall view is that Iraq is a mess and something has to be done, and quickly, to solve the problem..

This is identical with the U.S. public’s attitudes during VietNam and eventually Johnson’s refusal to budge (‘Victory is right around the corner!”) forced him to leave office. Bush is now in the same position but given his severe psychological problems and juvenile attitudes, he will never budge an inch over any of this.

If anyone crosses our President or disagrees with him in any way, he is, at the least, subject to screaming diatribes full of foul language and at worst, to being sacked. In summation, Bush is a genuine mental case and if he continues his present course, there will be some kind of a rebellion here inside the Beltway. Either the military, which detests him, calling him a drunk and a deserter (I have heard such statement recently from people whose names most of you would recognize) will simply refuse to obey his increasingly manic orders or Congress (both sides of the aisle) will do the same. The results will equal the national traumas we all suffered over the Watergate business.

Nixon was far more intelligent and a much better politician than Bush but like the latter, Nixon had his psychological problems that would never allow him to admit he had made a mistake…and he fell from high office because of this flaw.

The tragedy is that long ago, Bush could easily have put a good face on all of this, have made placating speeches and performed some token acts of correction (never contrition however) but given his vicious and childish stubbornness coupled with pathological determination never to give in, he will have to be dragged, screaming, out of the Oval Office.

And he will, without a doubt, drag the Republican party down into the abyss with him.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Ever since the extremist attacks on various American targets on September 11, 2001, an enormous body of literature, mostly theory and supposition, has erupted throughout the world. The real story about this tragedy is far more interesting, and provable, than the great forests of fiction that have grown up around it. There are two parts to this story. There is no point going over the known facts again because there are very few Americans who do not know them. The most reasonable accounting, stripped of fictional additions, is that a group of Arabs planned and executed it entirely on their own and that, for some unknown and very implausible reasons, the American authorities allege they were taken completely by surprise. None of this is true, by the way. The Arabs had highly proficient non-Arab assistance and the American authorities were fully appraised of the progress, timing and full details of the pending attack by those instrumental in directing the suicide pilots.

This documented version is far more simple than the fictions

It is that the Israeli Mossad (foreign intelligence,) had fully penetrated the Atta group in Florida while they were plotting 9/11. The Mossad not only penetrated the Atta group, long in advance of the attack, but gave it a great deal of technical advise and also supplied them with current intelligence information on possible U.S. surveillance and defensive measures. And further, after much soul –searching in Tel Aviv, Arial Sharon decided to notify the American government via the Israeli Ambassador in Washington, and also to copy the information to the American Central Intelligence Agency with whom they had, and still have, a very close working relationship .Not only was the American President, and especially the Vice President, fully aware of the pending attack, but a number of Israelis also knew about this in great detail and used the information to enrich themselves, to the amount of sixteen millions dollars, on the international stock market

B: We passed everything along, everything. Who knows, someone on your side might have leaked something and then the media bastards would be all over us, not to mention the White House.

A: We’re interested to know why someone with you hasn’t gone to the press…

B: It was highly compartmented and on a need to know. And anyone with this knowledge would be terminated with the usual extreme prejudice if they even hinted at it. The recent business with the Brits is pure circus but the White House loves it…

A: It’s so blatantly stupid that it will fall apart of its own weight. The Atta attacks are believable because they carried them out. There was the proof, right on television but the story about the bombs? Who will believe that one? And we had no knowledge of this and if there had been a real ongoing probe, for sure we would have heard all about it. And you? Did you hear anything?

B: After the fact and we agree: no one really believes this. It will go away…

A: That’s usual. But on the earlier business, remember we kept you right up to the mark. And don’t believe that the Bush people wouldn’t throw all of you into the sea over this if it ever came out. You would say you warned them and they would deny it. And where is the proof? You burned it. And where are you then? They will toss a sop to public opinion and sack the lot of you.

B: The DCI kept his word and his silence and they have no reason to push this any further. God knows what it might turn up. There could have been other warnings…

A: There were. From the Germans, the French, Putin, Egypt, Morocco and God knows who else. They are bloody lucky it didn’t blow up in their face. But I can repeat that we are not on the stove this time. You know, anti-Israeli feelings are running high now and the public will be ready to believe anything bad. I don’t want to have to explain that of course we knew what they were up to. After all, we have the right to defend our citizens against terrorism, but you all knew what we were doing and we kept telling you what was coming. You know that, don’t deny it.

B: I’m certainly not and I assure you, there will be no trouble from there. The White House will not be able to deny we told them and we will not be able to deny you told us….

A: In plenty of time to stop it. We could never understand why they did nothing but on the other hand, it suited them to have excuses, didn’t it?

B: Excuses? For what?

A: Reasons, it should have been reasons. Now, they had an excuse for their stupid wars.

B: You did benefit from removing Iraq from the game, didn’t you?

A: Of course, but this thing was never thought out and look at where things are now. It’s going to be a disaster for all of us. Of course if we win in Lebanon and gain the buffer zone and frighten Syria into minding its business, all and good but if not, this is a huge cancer that can grow.

In January of 2000, a meeting of high-level al Qaeda personnel took place in Kuala Lumpur. According to the official CIA report, this is where the attacks on the USS Cole and World Trade Center were put forward.. The Kuala Lumpur meeting was monitored by Malaysian intelligence at the request of the CIA. The CIA was able to determine the identities of the participants, if not the entire agenda. Among those attending: were Ramzi Binalshibh, a student in Germany who then returned there and supposedly organized the Hamburg cell led by Atta, Khalid Almihdhar and Nawaf Alhazmi. They subsequently entered the United States and moved around the country freely for 18 months, before they successfully hijacked the American Airlines commercial aircraft that was flown into the Pentagon on September 11, 2001,

Alhmihdhar's story is especially incredible because he left and reentered the United States at least twice more, once traveling to Germany to meet Binalshibh, and once going to Yemen, where the CIA believes he helped prepare the bombing of the USS Cole. Although he was identified as a suspect in the Cole bombing soon after that attack, the CIA never told the FBI or the INS anything about either him or Alhazmi until late August, 2001 -- after he had reentered the United States yet again. This proved to be far too late to apprehend Alhazmi.

Further the CIA also did not inform the German authorities about its suspicions regarding Binalshibh., where they could have connected him to the other members of the "Hamburg cell" that included the WTC suicide pilots, Mohamed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi.

The CIA did monitor Binalshibh long enough to connect him to Atta, because CIA had Mohamed Atta under surveillance in Hamburg starting in January 2000. This surveillance continued until Atta applied for and received a U.S. entry visa from the U.S. embassy in Berlin (on May 18, 2000) and flew to the United States out of Prague in June.

In October of 2000, two Mossad cells of six Egyptian and Yemeni- born Jews, started training at a secret base in Israel's Negev Desert with the purpose of penetrating Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda network, both in Europe (where they were known to be functioning in Hamburg, Germany) and the United States where a known bin Laden cell had been identified as being organized. It is generally known that the Mossad has penetrated every Arab and Muslim organization and would have had little problem in finding any number of fanatics to carry out a suicide mission in the belief they were serving Allah. Indeed, recent news reports contended that not all of the hijackers knew their mission would end in death.

One team flew to Amsterdam and were under the control of Mossad's Europe Station. This is based at Schipol Airport within the El Al complex. They later made contact in Hamburg with Mohammed Atta, the lead hijacker on September 11.

The second group flew directly to New York. From there they traveled south to Florida and infiltrated the Bin Laden organization. In the town of Hollywood, Florida, they identified the two former Hamburg students and later terror pilots, Mohammed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi. The Mossad team lived in the vicinity of the apartment of the two seemingly normal flight school students, observing them around the clock.

On August 17th, 2001, the Mossad team in Europe flew with some of the Hamburg terrorists into Boston, a month before the attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.. Mossad agents had learned from the CIA that the leader of this group, Hanan Serfati, had rented several dwellings. "One of Serfati's apartments was located on the corner of 701st St. and 21st Ave. [sic] in Hollywood, right near the apartment of Atta and al-Shehi.", The chief Israeli agent was residing near the Hollywood post office where the terrorists had a mailbox. The Mossad also had its sights on Atta’s accomplice Khalid al-Midhar, with whom the CIA was also familiar, but allowed to run free. The Mossad team kept Atta under continuous surveillance while he was attending flight school in Florida in 2000 and early 2001. The initial penetration was followed by these agents, acting on specific orders from the Mossad, assisting the Atta people in developing their plans to attack “important American government and financial centers.” The Mossad agents were fully conversant with the plans of this group but, although asked to participate, declined to do so, claiming they were engaged in other, “more important” activities. The Mossad warned their American counterparts several times about the terrorists, especially about al-Midhar.

The Mossad team had established an attack on the U.S. was "imminent". It reported this to its Tel Aviv controller through the Israeli Embassy in Washington using a system of (at that time) secure communications. The Mossad groups secret communications with the Israeli Embassy in Washington and Mossad units in Holland had been breached by DoD experts working with the NSA. The Central Intelligence Agency also was involved in this interdiction One way for the CIA to request assistance from the Mossad to keep an eye on, or attempt to penetrate the Atta group without itself violating the ban on activities inside the United States. An allied spy agency could violate American law on the CIA's behalf, and watch the suspect without needing to involve the FBI or any other domestic American agency, because the CIA was extremely jealous of its perceived rivals and kept a great deal of otherwise very important information strictly private.

On August 24, 2001, the head of the Israeli Mossad reported the imminence of an Arab attack against American targets to the Israeli Embassy and the Mossad connections inside the CIA, and a similar report was made by the same agency on September 7, 2001 and provided the United States with a list of 19 potential terrorists, whom the Mossad believed were planning an imminent attack within the United States. At least four of the names on this list later turned up again as four of the 19 alleged Sept. 11 hijackers. On August. 23, 2001, the Israeli intelligence service Mossad presented to its American counterpart a list of names of 19 identified Muslim terrorists who were then living in the United States and were planning to carry out an attack by hijacked commercial aircraft against specific, listed targets in Washington, D.C. “in less than a month…probably the second week in September…” According to a highly-classified CIA report on this issue, Mossad agents in the United States, working with the knowledge of the FBI and the CIA, had followed four of the 19 hijackers, including Almihdhar., and in Hollywood, Florida, had penetrated the group using agents fluent in Arabic and born in Arab countries.

According to the CIA (and subsequent FBI internal, and highly classified, reports,) Arab terrorists and suspected terror cells lived in Phoenix, Arizona, as well as in Miami and Hollywood, Florida from December 2000 to April 2001 “in direct proximity to the Israeli spy cells which had penetrated said alleged terrorist groups with their own, Arab-speaking agents.

It seems that huge numbers of viewers, both domestic and foreign, have looked at the posting I made on intercepted official Israeli conversations and I can imagine the hysteria in Tel Aviv…and Washington over this.

And, I am so happy to tell you, there is more to come!

On Monday the 22nd, I will be devoting a good deal of space to the 9/11 tragedy. We know from intercepts, which foreign government helped organize and execute this and who in our government at that time was aware of it. I can assure my readers that this is not the usual lunatic fringe fictions about plasmoid clouds or Russian missiles.

The truth is always less exciting than some blogger’s wet dream.

A bit of current history here. Bush, ever obedient to the wishes of Israel, agreed to block any attempt to establish a cease fire in Lebanon until the mighty IDF crushed the Hezbollah and was able to occupy, on a permanent basis they decided, enough southern Lebanese territory to keep Hezbollah from lobbing rockets into Israel.

Bush was initially gloating around here that the all- powerful IDF would crush the” weak rag heads” in a “few days.” As it turned out, Hezbollah defeated the Israeli military on the ground in savage fighting and then a terrified Israel rushed to Bush, via their Ambassador here, to beg him, whining like hell, to force through an immediate cease fire before “everything here falls apart.” Bush and Congoleeza Rice, once Stanford’s notorious Date Rape Queen and latterly our beloved and useless Secretary of State, rushed in panic to the once denigrated UN and pushed through a frantic cease fire.

But given his nutty personality, Bush is now trumpeting around his “confidential inner circle conferences,” that Hezbollah was ‘soundly defeated’ by the IDF!

Those here, or informed others in D.C. know that both Bush and Israel have taken a terrible, terrible propaganda defeat over this. They were both once terrifying manifestations of raw force, keeping the world frightened of their anger, and retribution, but now Bush is seen as a paper tiger in a rainstorm.

The Israeli defeat will, without a doubt, prove to be a disaster in our occupation of an Iraq where American military units are being mortared in their green zone on a daily basis (not reported domestically, of course) and a terrible civil war is now in full swing.

Emboldened by the Hezbollah victory, the resistance people in Iraq are redoubling their murderous attacks on American soldiers and this is a trend that shows no sign of abating.

He threatened North Korea with “immediate military retaliation” if she launched any missiles. They launched sixteen and nothing happened.

He has continued to threaten Iran if she does not stop her atomic development program. Iran has not only laughed in his face but openly supported the Hezbollah with weapons and money.

We here all know that Bush has shown that America can do nothing but threaten and pretty soon, the rest of the world will treat all of us like a Punch and Judy show. Remember this in November, why not?

I am pleased to learn that the transcribed conversation I forwarded last week has had such an enormous viewing! There is a very, very important one that deals with the true background of the 9/11 tragedy that will have an even greater audience. That comes in a week or so but this time, I am sending on a list of members of Congress who received money from AIPAC in the last Congressional election. Of course more and more money has been flowing from AIPAC into Congressional pockets in the mean time but I don’t have the current figures yet. B. For sure, but don’t forget the dangers in having too much cooperation. All right for this moment but in the long run, this can certainly backfire on us. You know, we are seen as being too much influential with the Bush people.

A. I wouldn’t worry too much about that. The media is certainly not to worry about and most Americans really do not care about things there (Lebanon) The main point is that by the time the U.S. makes itself felt at the UN, we will have accomplished our goals and established the buffer we need.

B. Absolutely but…there is still the future to think about.

A. Who cares? Once we establish the buffer, the rest is just shit. It will all be hidden soon in the coming press reports of Arab ‘attacks’ on the U.S. This is for the voting in November. You know, ‘many Arab groups will for sure attack American targets.’ They (the U.S. Government) will choose so-called target areas where they need the most support. We don’t need to worry about Miami, Skokie or Beverly Hills after all. (Laughter) and this is a little crude but the public here is terribly stupid and the warning color days worked before, didn’t they?

B. Yes, but there are second thoughts on all of that. If you go to the well too often, there are problems. People lose interest.

A. The British are being such swine about this, aren’t they? They are causing trouble about the bombs these days.

B. Just a few troublemakers. The press here does not cover that and who reads the foreign media? Most Americans can’t read anyway. But there is danger that the U.N. might be motivated to move a peace keeping force into Lebanon and this might negate our purposes. Hesbollah must be utterly wiped out and Syria must be made to realize…with force if necessary…that it cannot supply the terrorists with more Iranian rockets. Maybe an accidental airstrike on Syrian military units could say to them to mind their own business. We have done this before.

A. It is too bad that we cannot teach Tehran a lesson. The ultimate goal would be to have America attack Iran but I am afraid the American military is dead set against this…

B. They are all Jew-haters up there.

A. For sure but we know that Americans can bomb the shit out of Tehran and hopefully kill off a number of the militants, probably disrupt their atomic program and teach all of the area that the U.S. means business. We support them, they support us. But they cannot send in ground troops and if we did that, our losses would not be borne at home. As it is, there are the usual malcontents bleating about the Lebanon business.

B. They are just afraid they will get a rocket on their house and there are the same ones here. The Lieberman business is not that good, after all. Yes, of course he is a liberal Democrat but his support of us is too obvious. He could be a little critical too. We see the Bush people doing this, just to keep the people quiet. Yes, they say, see, we too are actually critical of Israel….

A. But not too critical, right?

B. No, never that. Too many pictures of dead jerks for example. We need to see more pictures of grieving Israelis, mourning lost sons and children. Can’t we get more of those? Fuck the Arabs.

A. I feel sorry for the American mediA. Their instincts are to defend dead Arab children…

A. I’m sure there would be more on this but not enough children are dead.

A. OK. And one other matter. We feel very strongly that if the current people get kicked out in November, as it looks like they might, we owe them to help them stay right where they are. It has taken a long time and much money to get all the ducks lined up and we don’t want to have to start in again. We can generally rely on sympathy from the Democrats but they will not support any more military ventures over there. That’s for sure.

B. Then what do you suggest?

A. The terrorism card works wonders. We were going to release a statement that Arabs were going to attack an El Al plane on takeoff, with rockets….

A. Probably leftovers from the CIA businesses in Afghanistan.

A. Let’s not get into that now. But this scare would only affect flights to Israel and we don’t think it would have any impact on the election.

B. Well then, why not have these attacks aimed at American aircraft? Where would they attack from?

A. Say at the perimeter fence lines at airports. Or better still, why not a plan cooked up to smuggle explosives on board transatlantic flights to or from America? Something clever that will catch the public imagination….

B. That stupid bomb in the shoe routine?

A. Don’t knock it. It worked, didn’t it? We can always find some suckers with a bent to this we can fill up with real enthusiasm and then turn them in, complete with plans. They actually believe they are going to paradise and fuck virgins and we have another propaganda coup. Let’s give this some effort. You know, a terrified public will not want to change horses in mid stream. So far, the Rove people have a good line: If you’re against the Republicans, you’re encouraging the evil terrorists sthick.

B. Well, they did that with the alert warnings and it worked…more or less.

A. Face it, they aren’t too bright here. They ran it into the ground, had to fire Ridge and Ashcroft, one of our very best friends ever, and put those things on ice. They need to discover a huge plot but in America

A. You know, as you said, infiltrate a group of crazies, plant things on them, call the FBI…

B. Oh, they do that themselves. That business in Florida was pathetic…

Dear old crazy, and defeated, Lieberman, shrieking with rage at seeing all his extra income flowing down the drain, has received over $227,758 so far from AIPAC. Tell me, children, what did he do for all that money? There are many more names and amounts to entertain you as well as to give you a concrete guide as to your voting in November next.

As far as the recent stories about “terrorist attacks” coming from England, don’t believe them. It is well known around the White House that this invented story is designed to offset the crushing defeat of the Administration’s darling liberal, Lieberman. This theme, by the way, according to position papers circulating here, is the main theme of the November elections. The thesis? Why the Iron Trio of Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld have protected, and will continue to protect, innocent America from evil terrorist threats.

Of course, if you vote Democratic, all bets are off and armies of rabid Muslim (read non Christian) fascists will at once invade America, to rape, loot and pillage while setting off bombs in the Des Moines Public Library. Please note that in spite of all the shit the Bush people have spread around about “proctecting America” there has not been one proven incident of any real terrorist group caught or no attack thwarted. The WMD lies were the father and the “terrorist threats” and the illegitimate child of this corrupt and dangerous gang.

The American public is being told one thing by the Administration and the DoD. and various staff members here are being told something quite different.

This, of course, deals with the current terrible events in Lebanon. While the public is told that Israel is going after terrorists, the death tolls are way underreported.

When Israeli bombing attacks kill two hundred Lebanese, Tel Aviv wants us to publish that ten died. When forty IDF soldiers are slaughtered by Hezbollah people, the death toll to be published is eight. A rain of rockets on Haifa, according to Israel sources, produced “moderate damage” and only six causalities whereas in fact, two square blocks of that port city were blasted into rubble and over sixty civilians were blown to bits or crushed to death inside collapsing apartment houses.

The Israeli Embassy is in constant contact with certain staff members here and what they want, and are getting, is full support by Bush of their continuing punishing attacks on civilians (to teach them a lesson for daring to be Muslims…however, many are also Christian. There’s one for weird Pat Robertson to suck on…) and to give them time to occupy the entire lower portion of Lebanon without interference from the hated UN. Bush agrees with this completely and our deliberately slow-motion diplomatic actions have a two-fold goal. The first goal is Israeli and allows them to occupy half of Lebanon and the second is the Bush/Neocon plan to get Israel to mix it up with Syria and engage in a proxy war for the U.S.

The Republican leadership knows that for us to get into a ground war with Syria, and probably then Iran, would be political suicide before the Midterm elections in November but if Israel does it, we can safely supply with bunker buster bombs, napalm rockets, a modified form of nerve gas and other American weapons of mass destruction.

The American media is under strict orders to depict all the Muslims as terrorists and the Israelis (who are even worse terrorists) as fighting for their freedom.

The loony Bush people have so enraged the Pentagon that a military putsch would not astonish me. Bush berates his senior military leaders to their faces and certainly to their backs but they, in turn, consider him and his Israeli friends to be destructive and dangerous to world peace in general and the fabric of the Army in specific.

The Army people know that if this horror is allowed to go on unchecked, it is more than likely that the entire Middle East will erupt in violence that can only wreak terrible havoc on our troops in Iraq.

Bush does not care about this because his brain is in neutral but Cheney and the Neocons are rubbing their hands together with undisguised glee while the growingly senile Rumsfeld drools contentedly onto his vest.

A shipment of Zelzal missiles arrived in northern Lebanon yesterday via Turkey, who has no love for the U.S. because of their support of the Kurds. Of course the Russians have been hard at work in that area and have had some notable success in Ankara. I do not know when the projected saturation attacks on Tel Aviv are up because the satellite pictures show new Israeli troop concentration areas that might also be targets of importance. Apparently, disinformation has worked very well so far in the anti-Israel campaign and those here passing what they mistakenly think is vital satellite and SIGINT information to Israel have no idea they have been led down the path.

While Bush has been eagerly supplying bunker-buster and cluster bombs to Israel, albeit with many problems caused when the Brits refuse to allow his cargo planes with their deadly cargoes to land on their soil, Hezbollah has been wreaking havoc on the vaunted IDF people and are continuing to bombard Israel with rockets, of which they have a huge supply, the Zelzal missile came from Iran and can easily reach Tel Aviv from Lebanon and the SIGINT indicates that a massive attack has been in train for some time now. Sometimes, it is said, the biter gets bitten.

The current bloodshed in poor Lebanon is causing all manner of stress here in the White House. A number of staffers, not the neocons or Israel supporters, demand that Bush allow the IDF to wipe out as many enemies, or perceived enemies (be they five years old children or members of Hezbollah) as they can before they run out of ammunition and Bush-supplied cluster bombs.

Others, less sanguine, opt for diplomacy and a cease fire but Bush and Cheney will have none of this. Poor Rice is stuck in the middle because she has to do what her lords and masters command and the command is to give all support to Israel, regardless of the consequences. Intercepted communications between Tel Aviv and Washington, now circulating, show very clearly that Israel believes it has Bush’s total support and is behaving accordingly.

That Bush has done nothing but have the odious Bolton block any UN cease fire attempts, is very clear here and this is making the less ferocious very queasy. It really does not matter to Bush what his staff thinks because he really doesn’t care. The President behaves like a very spoiled and very stubborn child who is going to do what he wants regardless of any objections from anyone.

If he signs a bill, he announces he will not enforce it and when the Supreme Court handed him a serious defeat in their Gitmo ruling, he simply tried to do an end run around the court.

You can tell Bush nothing and no one in the White House or at top levels in Washington dares to contradict him, no matter how legitimate the contradictions might be. Anyone, from Generals, Attorney Generals, State Department people or CIA analysists who dare to question Bush or, worse, dare to produce information contrary to what he thinks can bend over and kiss their ass goodbye. They will either be sacked, like Ashjcroft, or sent off to South Africa to inspect seal turds on the beach.

All Bush wants to hear, aside from approving laughter at his juvenile fratrat humor is the word ‘yes.’

I have been involved with American political matters for many years now and have watched the ebb and flow of concepts, ideologies, policies and personnel with some interest. Having said that, I also have to say that the current Administration of George W. Bush is, without any question, the most incompetent, dishonest and divisive I have ever encountered in person. On the domestic scene, Bush has personally allied himself with the lunatic Christian Right to the point where he has alienated a good part of the American religious scene.

He has wilfully interfered with the funding of stem cell research that all sane medical people have said is vitally important in finding cures for such widespread diseases as diabetes, Parkinson’s disease and many, many other major killers of people. Bush has also pursued an agenda that is transparently anti poor in general and anti black in specific. His bored reactions and lack of action in the Katrina New Orleans hurricane disaster is typical of the man. He did not care about the very obvious suffering of the poor, certainly because the poor are just that, poor.

The New Orleans poor are generally Democrats, black, on welfare or some kind of subsidy, can do nothing for the Republican party and, in the eyes of this party, are parasitic and unproductive. Bush’s idiotic tax breaks for his rich friends have clearly sown the seeds of a future major economic disaster, one that he will not be around to deal with. Bush has personally negated years of environmental advances because many of the restrictions mandated by these advances cost his business friends, and political contributors money.

Bush and his associates hold the laws of the land in contempt, feeling, without any legal basis, that they can rule the United States as they wish.

But it is the international arena that the bumbling, incompetent Bush policies have created immensely critical problems that will cost Americans a great deal of money on a personal level and put the United States in opposition to the rest of the world.

The most important case in point here relates directly to the growing violence being committed by the state of Israel against Lebanon and the Palestinian state. Humanitarian concerns aside, the economic consequences for Bush’s encouraging this naked aggression coupled with his flat refusal to make any official effort to stop it will certainly result, almost at once, in an immediate surge of the price of crude oil due to growing fears on all sides that this violence could very well lead to a major war and the total disruption of the world’s major oil supplies.

The Bush administration’s course of threatening Iran with military actions coupled with their equally obvious intent to permit Israel to continue its ruthless destruction of Lebanon and deliberate seizure of its territory will certainly result in a sharp surge in oil prices that will certainly prevent them any room for diplomatic actions and, in the end, cause titanic economic upheavals in the United States. At a time when the Republicans are suffering from monumental declines in the polls and with a major midterm Congressional election looming in November, the Bush people blindly push ahead with their senseless and very destructive policies.

The price of oil has surged up to nearly $80 a barrel and most professional non- government experts in the oil field are highly concerned that if the Lebanon attacks do not cease and the area is not brought under strong external control, such as a UN military mission, the unabated and savage actions of the IDF is expected to involve Syria and, even more seriously, Iran. If Iran becomes involved militarily (they are already supplying Hezbollah with very advanced weaponry) this could not only threaten the position of American military units now in Iraq but also interdict the movement of oil from both Iran and Iraq to world markets.

The leaders of Iran have before them the example of Russian President Putin’s brief but devastating shut-off of Russian oil and gas to eastern Europe last winter. This was calculated to make a point, which it did, but the Iranians can easily see that even a temporary cessation of their oil shipments to other oil-hungry nations would have a devastating effect.

This would, in essence, turn these nations against the United States for its clearly perceived role in instigating and maintaining the violence in the Middle East This explains why Russia, China and other countries have continued to resist Bush’s demands that they force Iran to abandon their nuclear program. That this position is basically that of Israel and as it is universally believed everywhere that Israel has a disproportionate amount of influence in Washington, anti-Semitism, always endemic, will erupt in many areas with terrible results to diverse Jewish communities worldwide.

If Bush and his people thought that their threats against Iran would have any effect on that country, they were sadly mistaken and Iran counter threats to cut off their oil has caused many countries whom Bush counted on to support his, and Israelis, to withhold substantive support for Bush’s threats. demands .

This has become clearly evident to the Iranians and the fact that they can defy Bush with growing impunity has not gone unnoticed by other countries who hitherto had been afraid of American actions against them in the event that they proved to be intransigent to any American demands.

The Bush Administration has made similar demands and issued stern threats against North Korea but when that country fired test rockets after Bush personally had threatened immediate military reprisal,s. When nothing happened, both North Korea and Iran have devastatingly called Bush, and Americas, bluff.

Iranian threats to cut off oil shipments have immediately caused an upward surge of oil prices from a high of $28 a barrel in 2002 to $78 a barrel in 2006. This increase in price pours huge amounts of money into the coffers of Iran, a strong military and political force in the Middle East and the accounts of Saudi Arabia whose leaders, once pro-American, have turned away from American because of the reactions of their people to the Israeli destruction of life and property in Lebanon.

It should be noted that in addition to supplying hostile Arab states with huge revenues, the rising prices will have, and are having, a strong, negative effect on the American public. Once a major oil and natural gas producer, America has now become a major oil and natural gas consumer but official Bush policies have so infuriated many oil producing countries that they would prefer to sell to China and India, both with burgeoning needs for oil.

Remember that the soaring price of gas at the pumps was the primary reason why the presidency of Jimmy Carter toppled. Bush might not worry about this as he cannot be reelected but the damage will be visited upon the Republicans who most probably will lose control of at least one of the branches of Congress in November. If they lose both houses, as is not impossible given the increasing disasters, loud and persistent Beltway rumors have it that Bush could very well be impeached and even more certain, massive investigations into rampant Republican corruption would follow as surely as night follows day

That not everyone in America is upset with the surging prices of gasoline, it is noted that

Exxon/Mobil will be announcing the highest second-quarter earnings of any corporation, American or foreign, in history. This will be a $9.9 billion profit raked in over the three month quarter.

The strongly pro-Israeli neocons have repeatedly called for Bush to launch an American air attack on Iran’s reported nuclear facilities, regardless of whether they are peaceful or militant in nature. The plan is to use tactical nuclear weapons and so-called ‘bunker buster’ bombs on any area in Iran believed to be involved, even remotely, in their nuclear power programs. This would include homes of personnel, schools, electrical power grids and any kind of Iranian infrastructure that could even remotely be connected with this program. Although this course is eagerly and often put forward by militant pro-Israel neocons, the economic results would be catastrophic and the price of oil would go so high that it would be sold by the cup, not the gallon.

Money, unfortunately, is power, and the increase of the price of oil has not only enriched various hostile Arab states, it has also done this for the Russian Republic.

Russia, once an economic basket case after the collapse of Communism, now is one of the biggest, if not the biggest, controller and developer of oil, natural gas and nuclear power in the world.

This is an extreme irritant to the Bush administration who have tried, in vain, to secure pipelines for oil and gas that would ship non-Russian resources to the West outside of Russian territory. To this end, the U.S. has attempted to gain control over countries over whose territories such pipelines would have to cross but in spite of early successes with the Ukraine and Georgia, Putin has effectively blocked an uninterrupted passage and has effectively blocked Central Asian countries from dealing with American oil interests and preventing the establishment, or continuation, of American military bases in these strategic areas.

In furtherance of this program, Russia has cooperated with China to use a group called the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. (Øàíõàé Õýöçî Öçó÷æè (Øàíõý Öçó÷æè) This was initially formed on June 5, 2001 by China, Russia , Kazakhstan, Kyrgystan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The first joint military exercise between the China and Russia, called Peace Mission 2005 started on August 19, 2005. Following the successful completion of the Sino-Russian military exercises, Russian officials have begun speaking of the SCO taking on a military role and of India also joining these exercises in the future.

Other states, to include Mongolia , Pakistan, India and Iran have observer status and in Serbia, the Serbian Radical Party has called for Serbia to try to join. The Serbian Radical Party is doing this because they tend to view the European Union as being a negative force on Serbia and because they want to seek better relations with Russia. The Serbian Radical Party has also proposed that Serbia join the Union of Russia and Belarus to improve relations with Russia.

The U.S. Department of Defense has expressed growing concerns that this group could quickly develop into a military entitiy in opposition to NATO. The DoD feels strongly that pressure eminating from the United States is materialy assisting Putin’s plans for a counterbalance to NATO and, in addition, has expressed strong concerns that the admission of Russia into the EU would further a European bloc that would spread from France, through Germany to Russia, creating a unified and potentially very powerful entity stretching from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

Both the SCO and a Russian entry into the EU could form an economic and military bloc that could easily rival the U.S. in power and that would be a very strong rival to America’s foreign and economic policies.

Much, if not all, of this organizing is due, in the main, to the Bush inability to produce an effective diplomatic policy as well as his ongoing policy of threat and bluster towards anyone he perceives as opposed to American business (read oil and energy) interests.

The results of this ineptnness and total lack of foresight could easily do terrible damage to the interests of the American public.
