Wonders, and the blind stupidity of the Bush White House, will never cease! Thwarted by an irate public and Congress on the Dubai port security deal, Bush is now attempting to allow that Muslim country to purchase a number of very sensitive, Defense Department contractors!

Why?

Firstly, because Congress dared to thwart him on the earlier deal and, even more important, he and his crime partners will stand to make even more money on this deal.

The smart money is on Congress putting a stop to this criminal stupidity.

And speaking of criminal stupidity, believe it that Bush, egged on by the crazy Cheney and the Neocons, has decided to threaten China! Yes, threaten China!

Why?

Because China is buying up too much oil that we need, especially before the mid terms in November. Everyone I know in the trade tells me that gas will go up towards $5.00 at the pump. I wish I owned oil stock because they are raking in billions and no one dares to stop them. If Bush tried to, Aunt Jemima would get elected in’08 and the statue of Liberty would burst loose from her base, take to the air and land on Bush while he is puffing along on his bike.

It won’t be the rampant and arrogant Republican corruption nor the idiotic incompetence on the part of the Administration…a new hurricane season is almost upon us and believe me, no steps have been taken by the Chertoff-controlled FEMA because he hasn’t a clue…. that will do the Republicans in but the high gas prices. There have been legions of terrified legislators coming and going into the Monkey Palace these days, screeching that ‘Something Has to be Done and Now…” In all probability, Rove will soon be toast and then Bush will have no one to tell him when to take a dump and he will end up, gibbering like a drunken chimp, digging holes in the Rose Garden to hide in.

The stupid China business? Bush is threatening them privately, with military action if they don’t stop buying oil we need. The Chinese, by all accounts, think he is nuttier than a Christmas fruit cake and have warned him to put a sock in it and mind his own business.

The Japanese, terrified lest the PRC attacks both Taiwan and Okinawa (full of U.S. troops), has forced the Bush people to move all American troops on their southern island to the relative safety of Guam!

The CIA is useless (not as awful as the DHS mongoloids but useless) but even some of the remaining competent ones are getting very frightened about the Action-Reaction problems being caused by our addled President.

Pray for a stroke!

I can fully understand how the remaining passengers and crew, scrambling up on the stern of the sinking ‘Titanic’ just before the final plunge into freezing waters must have felt. That’s the general attitude here inside the White House.

Andy Card was pleasant enough and approachable but Bolton is a self-important prick who is now beginning to annoy Bush Himself. It’s like the CIA when the oafish Goss took over to clean out any anti-Bush people.

At this point, there are now very few staffers really loyal to Bush. He is seen as a gross failure, not well-wrapped and liable to start an atomic war at any minute. At best, Bush was a brittle, wise-cracking retired frat rat and at worst, a shouting and vicious man who used great quantities of foul language, regardless of who was listening, shocked women staffers included.

He depended almost entirely on the plots and plans of Rove and it is now obvious to everyone that Rove will be indicted and removed from power. Since Rove is one of the most sneaky, vicious men I have ever met, no one will suffer…except Bush who won’t move without Rove’s suggestion.

A Roveless Bush will be eyeless in Gaza.

Rove has been behind the calculated leaks about a plan to attack Iran because Karl feels that the Iranians will come to heel and make Bush look like a glorious conqueror, an invulnerable ‘wartime president’ who could use the theme to crack down on anti-Republicans across the country.

I have heard Rove discuss the Vietnam war, which he calls “a Democratic war and a political failure.’ He said that he would set things up so there would be no draft riots, no student activists, no opposition in either House of Congress and a press unified behind the Christian Savoir and Protector of America.

If you’re thinking I am inventing this, I am not.

Bush is a pathetic failure (and responsible for the deaths of untold thousands) but Rove is purely vicious and ought to be removed from office, and influence, at once and then tried. Rumsfeld is getting senile and Cheney, another crook, hasn’t much longer to live, according to his last cardiologists’ reports. One more attack and we have another State Funeral under the Capitol dome and the outraged and desperate Republicans can stick someone more palatable, and saner, in the second job and groom him for ’08. I suppose that someone will get the bright idea that the dour and inflexible Cheney might suffer some kind of a cardiac “accident” but now we get into the blogger’s realm.

Rove is supposed to run the Republican campaigns for the mid terms in November and as his techniques consist of blackmailing anyone (via FBI files) who dares to get in his way, it will be a really disgusting blot on the democratic process.

I shudder to realize that there are three more years of this.

How far down into the septic tank of political oblivion can Bush go during this time if he has fallen so badly to date?

And I know enough people to state that if the Democrats take control of either or both Houses, criminal investigations are guaranteed to be launched, that will make Watergate look like a church picnic.

This is another reason why certain Very Important Republicans are wearing dignity pants these days. And if the public had any idea how much in taxpayers’ funds were stolen via the Halliburton deals, and the FEMA “relief programs” in Jeb Bush’s Florida, they would realize that these outrageous thieves make Boss Tweed look like Mother Theresa.

The White House is now a mixture of hope and fear: hope that the Bush people can pull off an ‘October Surprise’ to rebuilt Bush, and the Republicans, collapsing public confidence numbers (32% as of today.) and fear that not only will the GOP lose complete control of both Houses of Congress in November but the victorious Democrats would, without a doubt, go after the unbelievable corruption and lawbreaking now rampant here.

The sacking of the poor press chief, who was way out of his depth dealing with the fanatic and duplicitous Bush people, and the “demotion” of Karl Rove are only band aids on a severed leg.

Right wing fanatics, to include the utterly pro-Israel neo cons, Rice, Cheney, Rumsfeld and Rove are costing the Republicans all of their power so they are determined to pull off something “big” just before the election.

One of the clerk/typists who has top level security clearances and has been preparing meeting memoranda, told me, in a whisper, during her lunch break today, that she was terrified at the casual way the leadership is talking about rigging a faked “terrorist attack” on the United States or that Bush, in his utter desperation, will decide to drop nuclear bombs on Iran.

This is rampant insanity, of course, but Bush could do both if he wished and while future historians might speak of him with contempt and anger, we will all live in the present with the results of his mindless actions.

Bush does not live in our world. He lives in a world of his own, thriving on the trappings of power (motorcades, rigged public appearances, saluting guards, sycophantic aides) and a man who absolutely will not acknowledge that his actions might be wrong.

To a man like Bush, he is always right (and this view is reinforced daily by a parade of butt-kissing advisors who would never dare to suggest that a Bush view or action might not be the right one.)

There has been tentative talk about a seizure of domestic power using the military because of a faked “emergency” but Bush and his cronies can no longer rely on the military.

At this moment, it is a toss-up between a nuclear war with Iran and a faked “terrorist attack” on American territory.

They have spoken about blowing up an American Embassy, Ambassador, staff and all, in some other country. Italy has been mentioned as has Greece but the logistics of accomplishing this without detection are immense.

Another, far easier to execute, ploy would be to blow up an American cruise ship filled with old ladies and children somewhere in international waters. That way, Rove has reasoned, we don’t have to threaten some other country, like Italy or Greece, with punitive action, something an outraged American public would demand. The blowing up of small children would be a must for the fury it would engender in the soon-to-be-voting public.

This type of thinking belongs in a nut house and not our White House.

This sort of action has edged out, in the minds of some of the top brass, an attack on Iran. While the Jews pray daily for this removal of their enemies, the military cannot support such an action and if the American public is getting more and more angry over the failed Iraq business, they would lynch Republicans at the really high casualty lists such an Iranian attack would engender.

And this afternoon, there was an emergency meeting here with top brass over the skyrocketing gas prices. The oil companies, recognizing that summer driving is peak gas use time, have jacked their prices up (just as they jack up heating oil when it is needed in winter) and have refused to listen to pleas by the Bush people to keep prices “more acceptable” until after November. Rove has said, in print yet, that if “we can’t bring prices down” soon, the abyss of political disaster has opened at their very feet. There has also been talk of Bush “nationalizing” the American oil industry in a ploy to regain his vanished public support but the negative side is that the oil industry would pay a hit man (or men) to take Bush out.

These things do happen. All it takes is enough money to pay for it.

God must hate Bush because He has dealt Bush a terrible hand which no sane person could be expected to play. Bush should take a leaf from Nixon’s book and fold while he still can, and his head is still firmly fixed on his shoulders.

One of my best sources for Asian/PRC information is the bureau chief of a major international news service, now stationed in Beijing. He sent me. this morning. a thirty page email containing his views on the current Sino/US relations, both economic, political and military. Because of its length, I cannot publish it and because I never surrender a source, you won’t get his name so please do not try the usual stupid approaches. (Government agencies must teach their agents classes in ‘How to trick information from stupid people through your own brilliance’)

The Chinese PRC has grown tired of trying to make any sense of the weird Bush foreign policies, let alone try to come to reasonable grips with them. These two countries do an enormous amount of profitable business with each other. The PRC holds billions of dollars of U.S. Treasury notes and if they became angry and disposed of them at cheap prices on the world bourses, the result would be an economic catastrophe. China has a huge population and an enormous military establishment. China has atomic weaponry and the means to deliver them. China has no oil and needs it badly for its burgeoning economy. China buys oil from Venezuela and Iran. The Bush Administration has clearly indicated their strong desire to oust both governments by internal (read CIA) subversion or, as a final resort, threats of military action. The US has interfered with PRC/Taiwan relations, threatening the PRC with vague military action in the event of hostilities between the two entities. Now, China has determined to draw a line in the sand between themselves and the unstable Bush people. They are going to say, in public, that the PRC will certainly offer support to any other country (read Iran and Venezuela) who feel themselves physically threatened by the Bush people. Beijing has told Bush to butt out of their economic business or China will consider this continued mindless nonsense as a threat to China and act accordingly.

Egged on by the powerful Israeli political lobby and the violently pro-Israel neo cons (who basically influence Bush’s foreign policy in the Middle East to the point of absolute control) Bush has leaked information that the United States “may well” resort to nuclear attacks on Iran because of their alleged building of atomic weapons (that can only threaten nearby Israel and not the United States.) There is no doubt that such military plans exist. They were drawn up before the 9/11 disaster by the American military, at the request of Secretary Rumsfeld and the Vice President with the full concurrence of Bush. Staff talks between the IDF representatives and American military planners were instituted and the final plans were put into a safe in the Pentagon in the event that they were needed.

Bush’s growing fury with the government of Iran, for ignoring his bluster and threats, caused him to order the leakage to the US media of the Iranian Solution. There is no doubt this is a genuine plan but there is serious doubt if it will ever be implemented. From a strictly military logistical point of view, it is impossible of effective implementation. From a domestic, and foreign, political view, it has proven to be a public relations disaster.

Bush is seen by an increasing number of domestic and foreign leaders as mad as Caligula and someone who will lead this country into a hecatomb from which it might never recover.

The Italian prime minister is now afraid to leave office because there is a very probable criminal indictment waiting for him once his immunity has been lifted. A number of the Bush people, viz Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, Rove and the leadership of the neo cons strongly fear that some such public vengeance will be wreaked on them if and when Bush leaves the scene. This is the main reason why ultra-right Republicans introduced a measure in Congress to repeal the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution that limits a president to two terms. This failed to loud laughter but the idea is still there.

Bush, who is a terrible physical and moral coward, has similar fears of retribution for the enormous death tolls he has become responsible for plus the incredible looting of the public treasury and embezzlement of public funds by his loyal, and greedy, supporters.

Men afraid of retribution can be very dangerous and now that China is calling Bush’s bluff, it will be interesting to see what he and his poison dwarves will do next.

Here is a lot of input for your information. I have always known, as have many others in a position to be aware of the facts, that Israel has built up her position in this country to one of disproportionate influence. She has used the large and financially influential American Jewish population, fake sympathy for the slaughter of thirty millions of their co religionists during the Second World War (the number, like Topsy, just keep on growin') financial and political power through Jewish ownership, or direct control, of most of the American print and television media and the natural greed of American politicians.

Israel attacked an American ship, the Liberty, inflicting great damage and many casualties but attempts on the part of the U.S. Navy to go to her rescue were immediately halted by a specific order of President Lyndon Johnson.

Modern Israel occupied ancestral Arab lands that were blatantly stolen by genuine terrorists in 1946-1948 and has brutally repressed these people whenever and wherever they can be found.

They have attacked other countries without legal cause but their insidious infiltration of the United States intelligence organs (they hold almost all the key positions in the CIA) and the fact that their Mossad or foreign intelligence, operates freely in this country against what they state are "enemies of Israel" is shocking to those who are aware of the degree and extent of it.

Israel is afraid Iran will attack it. Iraq attacked Israel during the Desert Storm campaign, attacked it with missiles that our vaunted Patriot missiles were helpless against. Israel was a prime mover in pushing the Bush administration into attacking Hussein whom they viewed as a prime enemy. Note, if you will, that there are no Israeli troops co-joined with the famous, but rapidly shrinking, Coalition forces. Now, Israel wants America to destroy Iran before Iran is able to assault their country with nuclear weapons.

No one actually knows where the Iranian atomic facilities actually are or whether or not Iran has managed to either make or, more probable, obtain from other sources, enough atomic weaponry which it now had in its growing arsenal of weapons.

We know that a top agent of the CIA, Colonel James Critchfield, along with another CIA operative, James Atwood, sold former Soviet artillery shells with atomic warheads to a Pakistani group for an immense sum of cash. Could one of these have ended up in Tehran?

Russia still has tens of thousands of weapons, including many with atomic warheads. No one disputes this whatsoever. Who is to say with certainty that elements within the Russian government have not given threatened Iran at least one of these weapons and a mobile and very easy to hide, portable launching system?

It does not take a nuclear scientist to determine or predict that if Iran feels it is under a genuine and growing U.S. threat to bomb it, it can, and certainly will launch a preemptive strike.

The two main targets of opportunity within the range of any such weaponry can be clearly identified as the mass of American military personnel and equipment concentrated (against all common sense) in the so-called 'Green Zone' of Baghdad or any target, such as Tel Aviv, inside an equally threatening Israel.

If Bush is playing high-stakes diplomatic poker with Iran, he does not hold any kind of a winning hand.

The immigration mess, mass meetings, liberal outrage and all, is not going away and, if they have their way, neither are the tens of millions of completely illegal aliens now fattening at the public hog trough. What we are now facing is what can best be called a manifestation of the old States Rights concept wherein states can, and should, pass and enforce laws in the best interests of their citizens. It is obvious that a corrupt Congress, ever attuned to the cash contributions of agribusiness and other members of the American economic community in the furtherance of more and more cheap labor, will do the best it can to accommodate, in spite of the long-term economic and social damage to the rest of the country. Arizona, Illinois and several other states are now preparing legislation that will remove these parasites from the public tit. Legally, they can do this and legally, they will.

An article in a recent Chicago Tribune aptly pointed out that, deprived of generous welfare and unfettered access to public education, free medical assistance and other benefits intended solely for American citizens, they will remove to other states who do not have any such restrictive, but entirely legal, laws. Hopefully, the states will circumvent the greedy and disruptive policies of a remote and corrupt Congress and we can see a return to responsive local representation, so sadly missing.

Our battered, depressed and demoralized troops in Iraq were never very good to begin with. Well-equipped, yes, but their training lacked a good deal of substance and included no morality training whatsoever. ( Do not rape women, little boys or pets; do not shoot the wounded; do not use flame throwers on children; do not run over small children with armored vehicles; do not use government issue pliers to tear gold teeth out of your dead civilians.) Summer soldiers, they attended monthly meetings and finally had found a way out of social and economic ghettos and permanent mediocrity but when faced with a very prolonged, destructive and unwinable war, they started out by terrorizing, and then slaughtering, civilians (who had no weapons and couldn’t fight back) and then sent complaints to their families Stateside via email (which were quickly intercepted, censored and blocked by the authorities there) and now we have a sharp increase in desertions, self-mutilations, aggravated mental problems, growing sullenness and the beginning of mutinous behavior.

And Bush wants to use <>these<> shopworn and growingly unreliable men in another, probably far more serious, war in Iran? The senior military, some of whom are old friends, tell me without reservation, that there is a <>coup d'etat<> mentality building in the Pentagon. Rage is directed at Bush himself, Rice, Rumsfeld and the detested and vicious Cheney.

Now, I have been informed from a reliable source, the CIA is talking about the New Bush Plan for Permanent Presidency by getting an "Arab Coalition" made up of 250,000 Arab military units from: Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Tunisia and other countries to occupy civil war-ravaged Iraq while he takes his troops and sends them into Iran.

He is also talking about using nuclear weapons, mass carpet bombing of Tehran and <>any city with a population of over 10,000<>. These plans have been formulated via staff talks with an eager Israel and diplomatic one-on-one talks between neutral Arab states and the stupid and shallow Rice (but totally sycophantic in her slavish catering to Bush's paranoid dreams) and there has been sufficient leakage (some planned but some in earnest) to convince most of the media (except for the speaking fecal matter on FOX) that Bush is a nut and, as some talking heads are starting to imply, one who ought not to be in the White House.

This dissatisfaction has extended to Cheney, Rice and Rumsfeld. There is also a growing, and very serious, wave of anti-Semitism welling up in top business, military and political circles. The brayings of the Jewish Neocons have done terrible damage to the Jewish community of the United States and, in strong probability, to the future of the U.S./Israeli relations.

Everyone I know who is in a position to be aware of such things (and I know quite a few...many are new information sources who read my site) that Israel has been forcefully counseling Bush to attack Iran and remove it as a specific threat to that bloody state.

As far as removing the Bush cabal, it is now at the "who-will-bell-the-cat” stage.

It is inevitable that such circumstances will always produce a man of action who will say, and do, what is necessary to restore order and public confidence. Will he go away if he is successful? Hardly. Look at Kemal Ataturk, Mussolini, Augustus, Hitler, Franco and many, many other Men on White Horses. Weak men like Bush always create situations where eventually someone puts a stop to their Caligula-like madnesses.

All of these matters are well-covered in history but the present rulers do not read history and if they did, are utterly incapable of understanding it.

We always get what we pay for. Josef Stalin best summed it up beautifully when he said, ‘No man…no problem!’

April 10, 2006

Bush's approval polls are tanking. Republicans are terrified lest, as they now believe, they will lose both the House and Senate in November. (Really major felonious activities would certainly be revealed by Democrats in control of either, or both, houses.)

There certainly have been prepared, at the Pentagon, plans to attack Iran. They were only plans for possible future actions. There are also current plans, on file, to attack Lebanon, Syria, Venezuela, Bolivia, Cuba (again!), and Mexico. Not to forget Dubai and Saudi Arabia in the event that Muslim fundamentalists gain power in those states. These plans are kept in the Big Safe over at the Pentagon in the event they are needed.

Now, the evil Karl Rove, terrified that he might be indicted and have to go to jail (and as a chubby invert, repeatedly raped by blacks...in his fevered imagination) and seeing the coming destruction of his Imperial Republican Reign Grand Design, has been pushing Bush to make a new war. Rove points out, one learns here from those who have read reams of notes and memos, that these slimy shits believe that Bush can regain his lost popularity in a wave of wonderful American patriotism, the military will be enhanced by a public-demanded general draft, we can at once, (when the new military is in place), invade the evil leftist Chavez (and guarantee his oil production for the United States and not the PRC) and put an end to the Castro government, not to mention all kinds of things designed to flatter the idiot Bush who does not want to seem weak (he is) or a failure (which he certainly is.)

Believe me, Bush wants to do this and Karl, with his connivance, has "leaked" this to a number of “friendly” media people.

If this action (the leaking) was not approved by Bush, the public revelation of a Top Secret military action under contemplation would be greeted by shrieks of "treason" from the Bush staff toadies followed by orders to the FBI to "locate the source" of the leak, just as they are frantically trying to find out who leaked the NSA phone tapping project last year..

The smug silence from the White House tells it all.

The departure of Card and now, Treasury Secretary Snow, (who had financial interests in the failed Dubai deal) from the Inner Circle is most interesting. No one walks away from their kind of power without either being sacked (as Ashcroft was for refusing to go along with Bush's completely illegal domestic phone tapping schemes) or being privy to the inner secrets, finding a way out now so as to avoid having to explain their actions to a Grand Jury later.

A personal friend in the Pentagon (War Plans Division) tells me that we simply cannot maintain any further military activities in that region. Bottomed-out morale, suicides, desertions, self-mutilations to get a discharge and such like would make any more expanded activity a disaster of the first magnitude. Also, a report tells us that many West Pointers, considered to be the elite of the Army’s officer corps, are leaving the service in droves when their enlistment period (5 years) is up. Also, the Pentagon is now taking young men with criminal records who have never gone to high school or who, if they have, have not graduated. This is the real bottom of the barrel, believe me, and we are scraping it even as I speak.

Many senior military personages are beginning to say that Bush should be physically removed from office lest he utterly destroy the United States., and similar sentiments are being expressed in different influential quarters.

Let's hope they are successful!

donderdag 6 april 2006

April 6, 2006

With Bush and the Republican’s poll numbers on a slow but inexorable slide downwards, (one poll has Bush at 36% and another at 32% with similar numbers for Republicans in general. Cheney is now at 16%!) the President is frantically trying to shore up withering public support by “town hall” meetings. He has been face to face with brutal reality when he gets rough questions from the floor or gets booed. The effective but nasty DeLay has gone to his maker and Rove is reported next to be indicted so the White House is full of people filling out new job resumes. The True and Loyal are becoming comically not so and the American media, other than the pathological O’Reilley and other nutties at Fox, are engaging in a feeding frenzy, ripping pieces out of the thrashing Bush carcass. There is a time bomb ticking away that will do little to assist Bush in regaining political heaven and that is the treatment of the dead GIs. It seems that the faulty electrical power at the Baghdad morgue means that many of the corpses of the fallen are badly rotten when they get back to the states and the DoD is now forbidding families to open the caskets. Of course they can’t do this but that doesn’t stop them from trying. Also, the desertion rates are skyrocketing, and former military personnel are refusing to be recalled in huge numbers. They can harass and arrest a few but not a few thousand. Some of these soldiers are talking at length and in public about the horrible, deliberate atrocities they and their fellows are wreaking on Iraqi civilians and all of this is being covered by the foreign, but not the domestic, media. Bush could care less if the dead soldiers were put into a wood chipper and used as fertilizer, has never gone to any military funeral and never will. The dead were merely a means to an end and nothing more. The struggle over illegal immigrants heats up and this time, there will probably be no general amnesty for the millions and millions of illegals now on the state welfare rolls, in jails across the country and taking jobs from tens of thousands of young Americans. Bush will leave a legacy of division and hatred behind him that is redolent of the Reconstruction in the post-Civil War period and in the end, there will be Republicans hanging in trees and from lampposts and freeway overpasses all over America. (In effigy of course, the real ones having fled to Costa Rica in droves).

April 2, 2006

There would be considerable political and business oriented consequences of rounding up and deporting over 12 million people.

Those consequences - for U.S. businesses and consumers and the illegal workers who provide a consistent source of cheap, dependable labor - are impossible to deny.

That point has been largely overlooked as congressional lawmakers clash over proposals to step up enforcement and legalize foreign workers. But, regardless of the measures they devise, the economic forces underpinning illegal immigration will be exceedingly difficult to alter, experts say.

‘If we enact a law that makes clear we're going to dramatically increase enforcement without allowing greater legal flows, employers and illegal immigrants will find ways around it,’ said Gordon Hanson, an economist at the University of California at San Diego.

The last time Congress overhauled immigration laws in 1986, the rhetoric was at least as heated and sentiments were largely the same. Illegal immigration was alleged to pose a threat to national security. Critics said unauthorized workers were taking good-paying American jobs. Foreign workers were accused of taking advantage of the nation's generosity by soaking up public benefits.

In the end, lawmakers passed a bill that granted amnesty to workers already here, while promising to clamp down on the flow of new arrivals. Congress ordered employers to require documents from their workers, and said there would be consequences if they didn't.

Illegal workers, though, kept coming.

In the twenty since, the number of illegal immigrants in the United States has grown from about 4 million to between 11.5 million and 12 million, according to the Pew Hispanic Center or twenty to twenty-two million according to other sources. More than 40 percent - about 4.4 million people - have arrived within the past five years.

They account for about one in every four farm workers, hold 17 percent of all jobs in cleaning and building maintenance, 14 percent of all construction jobs and 12 percent of food preparation jobs, the center says.

Would tough new laws change that? The 1986 reforms failed because border and workplace enforcement were both weak, experts say.

Some lawmakers are calling for all employers to screen workers through a national computer system designed to catch those with fraudulent documents. A bill already passed by the House would require much more aggressive border enforcement, including an extensive fence along the frontier with Mexico.

Unlike the enforcement-focused House measure, a bill from the Senate Judiciary Committee calls for offering workers who are already here a chance at amnesty and citizenship over an extended timetable. At the same time, it would create a guest worker program to allow a continued flow of temporary workers, a response to intense lobbying by business groups.

But experts say that while the provisions in some of the bills might slow the steady stream of arrivals, that would only be temporary.

‘When all the dust clears, we're going to have higher levels of legal immigration and lower levels of illegal immigration, but within a few years we'll return to the levels that we've seen,’ said Peter Schuck, a Yale University professor specializing in immigration law and policy. "Immigrants will figure it out. The zeal of enforcement will wane."

The problem is that enforcement is no match for potent underlying economics, experts say.

More than half the illegal workers in the United States are from Mexico, where the past decade's currency devaluation and debt crisis have created tremendous economic volatility. At the same time, the Mexican labor market has been fed by a baby boom a generation behind the one in the United States. The combination has created tremendous economic pressure, pushing a surplus of workers to seek out opportunities better than those offered at home.

Illegals are quite willing to work at almost any wage: one couple both in this country illegally, who work at a restaurant in nearby Belvidere, Ill., for $3.50 an hour - well below the federal minimum wage of $5.15 and Illinois' $6.50 hourly minimum. This means that young Americans, coming out of high school, find it impossible to earn any kind of a living wage because they could not survive on such low wages. Especially hard hit are American blacks, already disadvantaged. Illegals have driven this group of American citizens completely out of the entrance level jobs, forcing them onto the welfare rolls and producing a huge, indigestible, and unemployable mass in the body politic

Even as overseas economics have pushed workers to leave their home countries, the rapid growth in the U.S. economy during the 1990s fueled huge new demand. It took a while for the boom to reach California, long home to the nation's largest immigrant population, where post-Cold War cuts in defense spending prolonged a downturn. But robust economic growth elsewhere drew large numbers of new immigrants to states that had previously seen relatively few, and into new industries, too.

Illegal workers flocked to factory jobs in Illinois, to clean hotel rooms and work in restaurants in Georgia, and to build homes in North Carolina and Colorado.

.While illegal immigrants currently play a crucial role in the economy, their importance is sometimes overstated. Foreign workers account for less than 5 percent of the nation's labor force. They are concentrated by industry and geography in ways that would cushion the larger economy should they removed from it. While their labor affects the prices consumers pay for some goods, it is but one component.

Proponents of tougher immigration laws argue that the country has workers capable of doing the jobs done by immigrants, but that businesses must pay more.

‘At what point in the last 20 years did Americans wake up and say `I no longer want to work in construction for $17 an hour?'’ said John Keeley of the Center for Immigration Studies, which advocates stricter controls.

But business groups make the specious excuse that growth in the number of workers in the United States is slowing, that most young workers do not want jobs that are often seasonal and temporary and involve tough manual labor.

That having been said, given the motivations of the businesses and workers at its center, regulating the flow of workers at the periphery of the economy will be very difficult, whether or not immigration is legal, experts say.

The major hurdle to Congress legislating a working solution to the enormous mass of illegal aliens now in the United States is the tremendous economic demand for illegal immigrants as cheap, off-the-books workers in the American business community. Frustrated by union-mandated high wages, American business eagerly welcomes illegal immigrants who will work for a small fraction of American union wages, not protest dangerous working conditions and increase corporate profits. Even now, corporate America is doing its level best, through the ever-active lobbyists, to arm twist Congress into permitting both increased immigration and the continued use of existing illegal workers.

And , finally, there is a very easy way in which this devastating problem can be legally and ethically addressed and implemented. That would be for the individual states to address this issue at the economic levels. More and more, the States are defying a useless President and thoroughly corrupt Congress. In one instance, the Bush administration, catering shamelessly to the Christian Right, declined to support any but the least objectionable stem cell research. There would be, he mandated, no Federal financial assistance to these programs, so detested by the right-wing Christians. A number of states, recognizing the vital importance of stem cell research, passed their own laws permitting such research in their own states. The Federal government cannot interfere with these new laws and therein lies the solution to the mass of illegal immigrants that Congress will do nothing about.

States most heavily impacted by these millions of immigrants should consider:

· Banning any state welfare payments of any kind to illegal non-citizens. This prohibition ought not to impact any legal immigrants.

· No citizen of that state should be permitted to operate a motor vehicle on the roads of that state without a valid state driver’s license and proof of insurance.

· A state driver’s license can only be obtained by the presentation to the motor vehicle department in charge of driver’s licenses of proof of citizenship that must be verified by said agency prior to issuance of any license.

· No citizen of that state should be permitted to vote unless they are able to produce a valid and legal state driver’s license at the voting stations

· No medical facility should be compelled to treat indigent and illegal persons without their possessing a valid state driver’s license.

· No person should be permitted to attend any public school in the state without their parents being able to produce valid state driver’s licenses.

· No business in the state should be permitted to hire, either as temporary or permanent employees, any person who is not in possession of photo ID, or a valid Social Security number and that businesses that do hire persons without such identification, shall be subject to an immediate heavy fine on the first instance and the jailing of their CEO on the second.

· Contractors of any kind who persistently hire such illegals should have their state contractor’s licenses permanently revoked.

· Any illegal operating a motor vehicle on public roads, if apprehended by law enforcement, should have said vehicle impounded and held until proper identification can be produced. If such identification should not be forthcoming, the said vehicle should be auctioned off to the public and the proceeds placed in a special educational fund for state residents in need of public aid.

In summation, if you keep your food in sealed containers and the floors and counters in your kitchen cleaned, the cockroaches will go elsewhere to feed. The enforced rounding up and deportation of millions of people is simply not possible, much to the joy of the mass of illegals now in the United States. They are well aware of this logistical nightmare and bask in the realization that they are hopefully untouchable. If, on the other hand, economic freeloading becomes impossible, they will voluntarily go elsewhere to feed in another public hog trough.

March 30, 2006

TBR News has received so many favorable comments on my illegal immigration article, comments mostly on the number of statistics instead of political rhetoric, that I am adding more material, much of it from law enforcement friends in Arizona: And to those who write complaining letters in foreign languages, why not try English? We speak English here, not some garbled Spanish patois. If that presents major problems, why not try migrating south like the birds? Our loss will be Mexico’s gain!

Here, from various sources is more cheering information for the suffering American taxpayer and his family:

In 2003, according to the Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles, 57,600 cars were stolen in Phoenix. It is now the car-jacking capital of the world. Most were SUV’s and pickup trucks. At a conservative average of $15,000.00 per vehicle, owner losses exceeded $864 million. Insurance companies in the state suffered incredible claims from policyholders.

Arizona is the temporary home of 500,000 illegal aliens. They cost Arizona taxpayers over $1 billion annually in services for schools, medical care, welfare anchor babies, loss of tax base and prisons. Illegals use those vehicles for smuggling more people and drugs from around the world into our country. When the vehicles are recovered, they are smashed-up wrecks in the desert. If not found, they have new owners south of the border as thieves drive the cars through the desert and into Mexico as easily as you drive your kids to soccer practice.

Illegal aliens displaced American workers at a cost in excess of $133 billion dollars last year according to Harvard Professor George Borjas. American citizens: College and high school kids cannot find a summer job in yard care, landscape, fast food or service jobs. Why? Illegal aliens work them at a third the wage and often, under the table.

Not only do young American not have jobs; their parents are paying taxes for illegal aliens who are not paying taxes.

Annually, 75 percent of drugs arrive from Mexico at a net cost of $120 billion hard currency that leaves our country for good. In addition, our tax dollars pay $80 billion for the War on Drugs each year. It is a war that hasn’t been won in the past 30 years and drugs are as available today to your teenager as they were in 1970.

When an alien criminal gets caught for rape, murder or drug distribution, you pay $1.6 billion annually in prison costs to house, feed and clothe those filling 30 percent of our federal and state prisons—not to mention TV, movies, weight rooms and other entertainment—they enjoy while being incarcerated.

Over 300,000 women annually arrive pregnant and drop them on U.S. soil. The American taxpayer pays for food, housing, medical and schooling for them to age 18 PLUS their mother. According to the Center for Immigration Studies, average annual cost per child K-12 is $7,161.00 and exceeds $109 billion annually per cycle of anchor babies.

The average head of household illegal alien costs you $2,700.00 in welfare money over and above any taxes he or she pays in their meager paying jobs. With 15 to 20 million illegal aliens in the USA, that figures exceeds $20 billion of your tax dollars. (Source: Center for Immigration Studies, August 2004)

How about the $56 billion in pure cash illegal migrants sent to their home countries last year and every year? That’s after their kids enjoyed free education, free lunches and free medical care paid for by you.

Mexico receives $15 billion annually from its worker drones. No wonder Vicente Fox sent us 9.2 million illegal alien Mexicans so far.

The lifetime net fiscal drain—taxes paid minus services used—for an adult immigrant is $55,200.00 according to Carrying Capacity Network.

With a minimum of 15 million illegal aliens in our country, these figures are the tip of the iceberg. Average bilingual education is $1,200.00 per illegal alien student. Get this! We educate 1.1 million illegal alien children each year. The American public has paid $27 billion to provide forms, ballots, interpreters and brochures for languages other than English in 2003.

An estimated one-third to one-half illegal aliens work off the books. It costs $200 million to provide for emergency health care for illegal aliens in the Border States annually. California with over three million illegals paid $79 million, and four of their major LA hospitals bankrupted and shut their doors in 2004. Texas with 1.5 million illegal aliens paid $74 million in hospital care. Georgia ran a $63 million deficit for 64,000 unpaid doctor visits to their Grady Health Care system in 2002. Georgia taxpayers paid $27 million for 11,188 anchor baby hospital births. Georgia taxpayers paid a whopping $242 million for educating illegal alien kids in 2003.

What are the consequences? One in two adult African-Americans in New York is unemployed. African-American children’s poverty grew by 50 percent since 1999. Why? Their dads can’t find work.

It costs the taxpayer, $68 billion a year to pay for the resettlement of legal immigrants.

Only 22 companies in 2003 were taken to court for hiring illegal aliens. None went to jail. However, it’s a $10,000.00 fine per illegal alien hired and up to five years in prison. You would think that would deter corporations. Not when they’ve bought off enforcement!

Who else figures in this grand scheme? Your governors and mayors who provide sanctuary laws for illegal aliens! Mayor Bloomberg of New York City, Governor Baldacci of Maine! Governor Bill Owens of Colorado! Mayor Hickenlooper of Denver! Mayor of Los Angeles! The Mayor of San Francisco! The Mayor of Chicago! The Mayor of Miami! How do we know? All those cities and dozens more give sanctuary to illegal aliens with Special Order 40.

Illegals remain in our country with exemption from arrest—yet, they are federal criminals!

A national consensus on immigration is clear from the wide range of polls on the issue over the past several years: By overwhelming margins, Americans want to cut back drastically on immigration—not bring in new immigrants or legalize those who are already here illegally.

Limiting immigration has the overwhelming support of most Americans, regardless of party affiliation or race.

• 65% of voters favor stopping all immigration into the U.S. during the war on terrorism.

• 92% of voters favor “imposing stricter immigration and border crossing polices.”

• 84% of Americans support tighter restrictions on immigration.

• 77% think the government is not doing enough “to control the border and to screen people allowed into the country.”

• 85% strongly/somewhat agree “that enforcement of immigration laws and the border has been too lax and has made it easier for the terrorists to enter.”

• 72% think that “a dramatic increase in resources devoted to border control and enforcement of immigration laws would help reduce the chances of future terrorist attacks.”

• Six in ten Americans support reducing legal immigration levels.

• 77% of respondents in a CNN poll opposed granting amnesty to illegal immigrants.

• 53% of Americans said the number of legal immigrants allowed into the U.S. should be decreased. Only 6% wanted to see it increased.

• 41% of Republicans and 45% of Democrats support stopping legal immigration altogether.

• 72% of Americans think immigration should be reduced,

• A Roper poll in January found that 83% of Americans favor a lower immigration level. 70% favor restricting immigration to less than 300,000 new immigrants a year (including 70% of Republicans, 73% of African-Americans, and 52% of Hispanics). Most want even larger cuts: 54% favor an immigration level of below 100,000 a year. 20% support no immigration at all.

The same Roper poll found that a large majority (75%) supports strong laws to identify and deport illegal immigrants. Only 10% disagree with strict laws against the removal of illegal immigrants. The strongest supporters of tough measures against illegal immigrants are self-styled political moderates (78%), strongly religious (76%), whites (77%), Protestants (82%), and Midwesterners (85%). 76% of Democrats, 76% of Republicans, 78% of self-described middle-of-the-roaders, and 60% of Hispanics (English-speaking) also support tough laws against illegal immigrants.

• 52% of all Americans favor a five-year ban on all legal and illegal immigration to the U.S., including 54% of all Republicans and 48% of all Democrats.

• 50% favor a law that would stop all legal immigration into the U.S. for the next five years.

• 63% of Americans think immigration levels are too high, including 66% of Republicans and 60% of Democrats.

• 62% of Americans think immigration levels should be decreased, 27% think the present levels should remain, and 12% say they should be increased.

Some lawmakers are particularly concerned with the attitudes of Hispanics on the immigration issue. Polls show that Hispanic Americans, like all Americans, support cutbacks in immigration.

• 89% of Hispanic Americans strongly support an immediate moratorium on immigration. 74% feel fewer immigrants should be allowed and stronger restrictions should be enforced.

• Hispanics favor reducing immigration by a margin of 53% to 35% in Texas, 48% to 40% in New York, and 47% to 39% in Florida. Rudolfo de la Garza, a University of Texas at Austin professor and one of the directors of the study, said: “U.S born Mexican-Americans believe that they suffer a lower quality of services because of the excess demand on them generated by the immigrants.”
• 43% of Hispanics nationwide think the government is not doing enough to stop illegal immigration. The more established Hispanics are in the United States, the more likely they are to think the government is not doing enough to curb illegal immigration. 37% of foreign-born Hispanics believe not enough is being done; that belief increases to 45% of first-generation Hispanics and half of second-generation Hispanics.

A sampling of a number of states regarding illegal immigration.
With the mid-term elections on the horizon, Congress should become very attentive or they run the risk of being very unemployed.

CALIFORNIA
• 82% of Californians believe that the projected population growth during the next 20 years will make the state a less desirable place to live. Over 80% of California’s growth is due to immigration.

• 50% of California voters oppose granting amnesty to illegal immigrants, versus 34% who favor it.

COLORADO
• 68% of Colorado voters say overpopulation is a major problem in Colorado. Only 2% of voters believe that the state needs to expand its population at all, yet the state is projected to increase its population by 67%, from 4.3 million today to 6.4 million in 25 years. 61% want the federal government to lower immigration levels to reduce the environmental impact and development pressures on communities across the nation.

FLORIDA
• 58% of Florida voters favor making legal immigration more difficult. 71% favor the U.S. government spending more time and money to prevent illegal immigration into the U.S., including more than 40% of Hispanics.

Almost two thirds (63%) of voters agree that “immigration levels are out of control and we need to reduce the number of immigrants we allow into the country.” A majority of voters (52%) said they would be more likely to endorse a candidate who supported immigration reduction as part of his or her campaign. 76% feel that "Continued population growth is a threat to Florida’s resource base, environmental health, and quality of life.”

GEORGIA
• 69% believe that the quality of life in the state will deteriorate if current growth and population trends continue. 74% are concerned about the level of immigration to the U.S. 79% are specifically concerned about the level of immigration to Georgia. 61% oppose amnesty for illegal immigrants.

IOWA
• 62% of Iowans feel that the U.S. should lower its current level of immigration. 65% feel that a U.S. population of 400 million in 2050, as projected by the U.S. Census Bureau, is too large.

KANSAS
• 86% of Kansans say levels of immigration into the U.S. are a “serious” or “very serious” problem.

MARYLAND
• 68% of Maryland voters are concerned about the current level of immigration to the state, and 58% want the federal government to lower immigration levels to reduce development pressures on the environment. 61% think overpopulation in Maryland is a major problem.

MICHIGAN
• 52% of Michigan voters say legal immigration levels should be decreased, 41% say they should remain at present levels, and 4% say they should increase.

NEW JERSEY
• 82% of New Jersey residents say that illegal immigration is an important problem facing the country. 39% say it is one of the most important problems.

TEXAS
• 82% of Texans see illegal immigration as a serious problem (including 86% of Caucasians and 69% of Hispanics), and 61% say the federal government is not doing enough to stop it.

VIRGINIA
• 73% consider the pace of population growth to be an urgent problem, with 60% saying it threatens quality of life in the state.
70% say they are concerned about the level of immigration to Virginia, and 57% say they would be more likely to support a candidate for Congress who supported a reduction in national immigration levels.

March 27, 2006

There are two major and overriding crisis now facing the American people. The first one is the utterly disastrous and failed Iraqi campaign and the second is the monumental flood of illegal and totally uncontrolled immigration into the United States.

The information on Iraq is easily found and growing but the immigration scandal is not as public. As I have a number of relatives in Arizona, some of whom are state officials, I have decided to take this border state as a microcosm of the growing disaster.

Conservative (and politically correct) official estimates (census, INS reports, state and Federal crime reports) place the number of illegal aliens now in the United States at 11 million, a more realistic (and politically incorrect) analysis by the same agencies place the number of illegals at between 20 to 23 millions, (about 90% of whom are Hispanics.)

In Arizona, the number of Hispanic illegals , as of March 1, 2006, is approximately 350,000.

In Cochise county, on the Mexican border, alone, over 56,000 illegals were detained in the month of February, 2006!

The number of identified illegals in Arizona alone are costing the state taxpayers up to $1 billion a year in state and local services. Herewith is a breakdown of these costs of immigration:

-- $31 million annually in unpaid emergency hospital care for illegal immigrants, as estimated by the governor's office.

-- $72 million a year to imprison criminals without legal residency, as estimated by the governor's office.

--$250 million a year in welfare, as estimated by the governor's office

--$380 million a year in welfare to illegal immigrants, as estimated by the Center of Immigration Studies.

These are costs of the maintenance of this army of illegals but now let us use the Arizona city of Phoenix to consider the criminal activity.

Phoenix has become the biggest gathering point and distribution hub for people migrating to the United States from Mexico. But unlike other large cities of the Southwest, Phoenix has little history in assimilating large numbers of Hispanics. The result has been an anti-immigrant backlash.

The U.S. Border Patrol polices Phoenix's bus station and airport -- some 175 miles from Mexico -- because the city has become an unofficial port of entry. The Phoenix area basically is used as a major transportation hub for illegal immigration, because it's going to be the first major city they get to after crossing illegally,

But the city isn't just a way-station for immigrants: It has also become a place for them to settle. Census figures show the percentage of the city's Hispanic population nearly doubled between 1990 and 2000 -- from 13 percent to 25 percent. No one knows what percentage are here illegally or even from Mexico. But it is largely a population of families, helping make Arizona the fifth youngest state.

Not everyone in Phoenix is adapting so willingly to this demographic and cultural shift. Activists say the undocumented are holding down wages, costing taxpayers millions for health care and education, and contributing to crime.

80 percent of all violent crime in Phoenix can be attributed to illegal aliens. Local law enforcement and Federal crime reports indicate that illegal Mexican gangs are engaging in heavy drug sales, by importation from Mexico of heroin and marijuana. Their “turf wars” have resulted in 289 drug-related deaths in FY 2004-6. Parts of Phoenix are considered unsafe for non-Mexican residents.

Public discontent with the situation has boiled over into state policy, leading voters and lawmakers to pass some of the most hardline anti-illegal immigrant laws in the country.

The reactions to this actual invasion of American territory and the burgeoning drug-related violence?

After Federal border officials arrested nearly 500,000 people trying to enter the state between last October and July. In April, the “Minuteman Project,” a self-appointed militia, began patrolling the Arizona-Mexico border. And in mid-August, Gov. Janet Napolitano (D) took the unusual step of declaring a state of emergency. The move frees up government money to boost law enforcement along the border.

According to the Pew Hispanic Center, which like Stateline.org is funded by The Pew Charitable Trusts, the number of illegal immigrants in Arizona has more than quadrupled since 1996 -- from 115,000 then to about 500,000 now. By comparison, the number of illegal immigrants in the United States roughly doubled, jumping from about 5 million in 1996 to about 11 million today. These figures are, naturally, extremely conservative and the actual figure hovers somewhere between 20-23 million.

Arizona’s turning point came last November when it became the first state since California in 1994 to adopt a ballot initiative, Proposition 200, that barred social services to illegal immigrants.

The measure, which passed with 55.6 percent of the vote despite opposition from both Democratic and Republican leaders, also makes it a crime for public employees to fail to report undocumented immigrants seeking benefits, and requires proof of citizenship to register to vote.

Unlike California’s initiative, Arizona's Prop 200 has held up in court. In early August, a federal appeals court rejected a lawsuit aimed at overturning it. Further legal action is expected.

Arizona law enforcement officers, as well as federal border patrol officers, now can arrest people suspected of smuggling illegal immigrants into the United States. They also cam seize vehicles driven by illegal immigrants that are involved in an accident.

State judges can lengthen a felony sentence if the person convicted has violated federal immigration law, and city and county officials are barred from spending on migrant work centers, which illegal immigrants often use to find employment.

Law enforcement officials and lawmakers also contend that crime follows illegal immigrants across the border. The state prison system spent $77 million last year detaining more than 4,000 illegal immigrants.

Mexican officials, outraged by these actions, have been blustering about “retaliation” against the “oppressive” U.S. state and federal authorities and uniformed Mexican military units, heavily armed, have actually convoyed large groups of Mexican illegals over the U.S. borders in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona. The Mexican government has also been supplying illegals with booklets describing methods to use to cross the border and how to use false identification and other deceptions to further hide from detection. The American-based ‘La Raza’ movement, a separatist group, has received money and other support from Mexico. It is the avowed aim of this group, and others, to “retake” what they consider legitimate Mexican territory (California, Arizona and New Mexico and parts of Texas), stolen from Mexico in the nineteenth century by Americans.

In light of a very restrictive immigration bill now being considered by Congress, these groups, with full support from Mexico (who uses illegal immigration as a means of getting rid of their unproductive, uneducated and certainly unskilled citizens) have launched a massive campaign to turn out hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants onto the streets in an attempt to intimidate Congress and force the defeat of a bill that they view as destructive to their aims.

The claims of these groups and their supporters, mostly members of the American clergy, is that the immigrants are taking only those jobs that Americans do not want. In truth, the illegals are willing to work for very low wages and have driven down these wages to the point where millions of young American job seekers simply cannot compete. The employers, who welcome such cheap labor, do not pay taxes on these illegals, do not enroll them on the unemployment or workers compensation rolls and in general save a great deal ofmoney. Naturally, they do not want the flow of cheap workers stopped and are strong in their demand that any restrictive immigration legislation be scrapped.

The bottom line is that mass immigration means more competition for the limited resources in the "resource pie," whether one is talking about good jobs, room on the freeway, potable water, open space, or cheap energy. It drives up costs of all these desirable and necessary goods. Paying for immigration takes an ever increasing proportion of the family budget, which means that the consumer has less disposable income. Immigration, which makes the average American poorer, is ultimately very BAD for the economy and businesses since — as we hear ad nauseum — economic health depends on continued consumer spending. Even as millions of people have lost their jobs in the U.S. in recent years, we continue to allow more than a million aliens permanent resident status each year in the U.S., forcing increased competition for jobs, health care, education, welfare benefits, and housing at a time when Americans desperately need these resources.

This is a problem that is easy of solution, and if it is not solved with diligence and dispatch, it will become yet another millstone around the necks of the controlling Republican party come the November mid-term elections.

The solution?

Remove all illegals, without exception, from the United States;

Fine, heavily, any American firm that knowingly hires illegals;

Build an impenetrable wall from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico.;

Man this area with military units who are ordered to return the fire of illegals or Mexican military units who, as they have recently been doing, shoot at them first.

The advise to these units?

Shoot straight. And no quarter given.

Working inside the White House reminds me of :”Alice in Wonderland.” Why? There is no question that Bush’s ratings are on a fatal and unrecoverable slide. The so-called :secret” polls being taken almost on a daily basis by staff members show this trend very clearly. First worried and then frightened Republican lawmakers have been bombarding Bush, insisting he change his act before the GOP loses both houses in November. They want him to “appear more compassionate” and insist he have a change of the guard at the top. He flatly refuses to do both so now the legislators, frightened they will lose their lucrative jobs, are deserting Bush in droves so as to appear “independent” (read: Not connected with our nut President) The senior Bush people, on the other hand, live in his very own fantasy land. Today, I heard a top, top man telling two of his aides that “Diebold will guarantee we keep both houses.” They are unaware, apparently, that a number of states have banned the obviously easily-tampered with systems Diebold, a very strong supporter of Bush, refuses to improve or make safer. Diebold stole two Presidential elections but I highly doubt they will get away with a faked “Republican sweep” in November. They remind me of a neighbor who was under the impression that Jesus was going to take her away soon and she would stand in her yard, dressed in a nightgown, while waving her arms Heavenward and praying at the top of her lungs. It wasn’t Jesus that came to get her but the local mental health people initially and pneumonia eventually.

When Congress heard the loud protests from the American public about the Dubai people taking over vital East Coast ports, they pressured Bush to drop the contract. Bush did this reluctantly because he does not like to be told what to do and besides, his Secretary of the Treasury had a financial interest in the deal. Dubai retaliated by dumping dollars, a serous matter that has been deliberately ignored by a controlled American press.

Now, it ought to be mentioned that the most vital West Coast port is under the complete control of a Chinese government-run company, China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO) that has been involved in gun smuggling into the United States.

From various sources we learn that:

While the ’Empress Phoenix’ gun-running episode has largely been forgotten, as the debate raged over whether Dubai Ports World should be allowed to operate several dozen terminals at 21 U.S. ports.

In 2001, COSCO ships delivered weapons to Cuba, a move that triggered calls in the United States for sanctions against China, according to the Washington Times.

Still, Americans might come to regret giving COSCO the boot from U.S. port operations - a move currently favored by Sen. Hillary Clinton, who wants to ban all foreign ownership of U.S. ports.

In 2001, for instance, COSCO ships carried 434,000 containers to the United States, representing 12.1 percent of all the goods shipped between China and the United States.

Undoubtedly those numbers have increased in the last five years.

In 1998, when COSCO first tried to lease terminal space at the Port of Long Beach formerly used by the U.S. Navy, Congress blocked the deal over national security concerns.

Three years later, however, other tenants at the port vacated space and COSCO was able to build its own terminal.

Art Wong, public information officer for the Port of Long Beach, told the San Francisco Chronicle last week that COSCO now operates terminals in a joint venture with a U.S. company, Stevedoring Services of America, with the Chinese company acting as the majority lease holder with 51 percent control.

By the end of the decade, COSCO plans to expand its Long Beach facility into a giant five terminal operation covering 300 acres, according to the Long Beach Press Telegram.

And back to the Dubai deal, discover that the Bush people, enraged that they were thwarted, are now attempting to sneak through a deal on the ports so that Vice President Dick Cheney’s former company, Halliburton gets the no-bid contract! As is known, Cheney has a huge stock option in this company which means that he can buy the stock when he is safely out of the White House at a very low price. Since he has done everything he can during his tenure in office to get dozens of enormous no-bid government contracts for Halliburton, thus greatly increasing the value of the stock, he is no doubt licking his lips over this even larger opportunity to enrich himself.

It is interesting to note that the controversial company's involvement has already been endorsed by leading ports security critic, Sen. Charles Schumer. "I'd take Halliburton over U.A.E. at this point, if I had to take a choice right now," Schumer told the Fox News Channel on Feb. 20.

Schumer explained that Democats hate Halliburton not for any security reasons, but because "they made large amounts of profit" from what he said were no-bid contracts in the Iraq war.

But if the company "can do the best job and they get the [ports] contract on the merits," Schumer said, "I'd pat them on the back." And no doubt he can pat his newly-bulging wallet.

I have been saying for years now that the Bush administration is utterly corrupt in every aspect and in this, they are mirrored by an equally greedy and thoroughly corrupted Congress. We are not well served by what has proven to be the most corrupt government in American history.

Vote them all out in November. And we have just heard that a certain State Attorney General has been researching the possibility of slapping a state sales tax of 25% on all goods on all Chinese imports. Apparently, according to my source in the Dept of Commerce, his state can do this. They cannot institute a tariff but can put on a sales tax. The Bush administration is hysterical lest the Chinese find out about this and have been pressuring the state’s governor to veto this. However, it is very popular and the governor has indicated that in view of popular support, he will “let the will of the people” be done. Other neighboring states are also looking into the same thing. This ought to fry the tails of Beijing and the Wal-Mart octopus.

March 16, 2006

Growing fear is becoming manifest, not only inside the White House but also in the upper ranks of the Republican Party. All of these professional politicians realize their dream of iron and permanent Republican control over Congress, the White House and the Courts, is rapidly melting away. This is caused by utterly stupid actions on the part of Bush and his cronies who were triumphant when their poll numbers were up but now that a constant drumfire of blunders, exposed frauds, chronic lying and sheer greed and vindictiveness is crumbling their defenses, most are looking for a way to first save the Party, second to try to keep control of Congress and third, to replace the useless and idiotic President with someone that the general public can vote for. All of their excellent but very private polls show that the Republicans will be beaten to death in November, in spite of the mindless lack of a candidate or program on the part of the Democrats. It won’t be a populist Huey P. Long that will rise up and activate the multitude but the day to day mumbling stupidity of Bush and his Likudist friends. Cheny, who ran things here with an iron hand, is now seen as a member of the Dyke Brigade and as mad as they come. Interesting to note how many perverts are involved with the GOP at very top levels. And it is funnier to observe that they scream the loudest about gay marriages. These people, and I see them every day, are hypocrites and bigots of the worst sort. Let’s all vote them out in November. Liberal fuzziness is far better than greedy and corrupt bigots trying to turn this country into a police state.

March 12, 2006

The White House reminds me of a back ward somewhere. True Bush loyalists are getting fewer and fewer and the remaining loyalists don’t know whether or not to shit or go blind. The talk now is that Bush will destroy the far right with his stubborn blunders, utter stupidity, total inability to take negative advice from anyone and flat refusal to change any of his crazy plans. For example, he is even now trolling to sell off U.S. port control to another company, this one also located outside the United States. Even though a thoroughly alarmed Congress had drawn a line in the sand (due to huge public uproar) Bush will be at it again as soon as he can. Why? In the last instance, Secretary Snow stood to make a lot of money if the Dubai deal with through. Note here that Cheney hold a vast number of Halliburton stock purchase options. Over the years, he has shamelessly been giving no-bid contracts to Halliburton, solely to increase the future price of the stock. When he retires, he can cash in his options at the low price and get very, very rich. Bush has no problem with his friends making money through crooked deals….After all, he and his brothers and other family members have been doing this for years and gotten clean away with it. Neither Bush or his people seem to be aware that all of the intelligence organs and members of Congress are leaking reams of classified material to the press, to bloggers and to foreign sources like crazy. These miserable creatures believe their own lies to a degree that only a shrink would understand. When the bills come due, kids, we will pay them because Bush will either die in his cell like the former Serbian president or will be living in Costa Rica (where he has a tica).

I was planning to write about the bloggers and mainline reporters who are paid by the government to lie for them but the crushing defeat Bush has just suffered at the hands of a rebellious Congress has preempted this. There is now an interesting mixture of joy and fury inside the White House, the CIA, the FBI but not, repeat, not, the DHS when Congress told Bush that the Dubai deal was as dead as Bush’s career and marley’s ghost. Congress, usually split along party lines, has finally realized that the American public has had it up to the Plimsoll with the manic greed on the part of the senior Bush people and have flooded their Congresspeople with their rage at this port deal. Add to this pressure in an election year, we have the vicious, arrogant and thoroughly stupid baiting of Congress by a mindless, hubris-ridden President who has come to believe the suckings of his disgusting and throughly sycophantic staff that he is indeed a new God, to be obeyed. Had Bush not told the UAE to drop the plan, (Bush claims it was all their idea to withdraw but we here know better), Congress would have soundly kicked Bush in his flabby ass and, should he have the nerve to veto their blocking his (and Treasury Chief Snow’s) money-making scheme it would have been promptly overridden in such a way as to mark the effective end of the Bush quasi-dictatorship. As is it, Bush has proven to be the most stupid and corrupt President in American history. Our currency says,, “In God We Trust.” One would hope this trust would not be misplaced and we all pray that God takes Curious George to His bosom with diligence and dispatch. One can safely include Cheney and his Dike Brigade in this Blessed Departure at the same time. When you stir a pot, the shit rises to the top.

There is growing concern inside both the White House and among senior Republicans in Washington , that if VP Cheney doesn’t resign of his own free will or is forced out of office, the Republicans will, in turn, be forced out of office in November. Even Diebold and Jeb Bush can’t corrupt nationwide elections, like they did in Florida in 2000, and the continuous imbecility and arrogance of the current Administration is becoming widely evident, even in the Bible Belt. The American media, whores to the end, have been cooperating with Bush by hiding important information. The New York Times knew a year before they finally published it about Bush’s determination to spy on everybody in the United States via the NSA and the entire media was aware of the FEMA Katrina tapes wherein Bush is clearly shown, contrary to his pathetic bleating denials later, that he was fully aware of the pending disaster…and did nothing, later trying to blame FEMA head Brown for his, and the grossly incompetent Chertoff’s, manifest inaction. Bush was, by growing rumor, drunk at Crawford and Chertoff is a moron and a sycophant of the worst order…a typical backside licking Bush toady and as useless as tits on a boar pig.

Bush, Cheney and a number of their top security aides are enraged because of the leaking of very embarrassing and sensitive material to the media. I don’t think they are really aware of the degree and extent of the leakage.

The CIA has been the source of many leaks as the clumsy and high handed actions of Bush loyalist Porter Goss, DCI has destroyed the morale at that agency. Many very competent agents with years of experience were either fired because they “<>were<> not loyal to the President’s goals and views” or quit because of the crude activities of their top brass.

Most of these top leaders are Jewish and are too deeply and actively interested in the fate of blessed Israel to suit the rank and file. The name of Pollard is often used to describe their actions. And it is from these disgruntled agents, as well as from those who quit or were fired, that a veritable flood of fascinating material has been, and is being , leaked.

Friends of mine in the media and fellow workers speak about this and although I have never received any of these leaked papers, their contents are certainly not a secret.

A fanatic for secrecy, and terrified of assassination, Cheney would have a fatal heart attack if he knew that builder’s plans of his Maryland home, with new security additions, are out there. Also, a number of what the top White House personnel firmly believe is total security on their email and personal telephone conversations has been compromised, from the inside, and recorded messages are now circulating on tape all over Washington, to include the cocktail and Embassy Row circuits.

You have no idea how idiotic some of our wise leaders are when chatting with girl friends, businessmen, stock brokers and boy friends.

Also out there are reams of CIA reports on their intended subversion of various countries, to include Russia, Venezuela, Syria and Iran. There are even studies on what would happen if the CIA’s men in Chechen were to assassinate Putin or the CIA/Columbia intelligence groups now in the latter country were to ‘off’ Chavez.

Most of the senior Republicans inside the White House are racists and their use of the no-no “N” word is legion.

Also floating around are reputed to be lists of many thousands of Americans whom the NSA has spied on in the past and will no doubt continue to spy on in the future.

Your Mr. Harring would be delighted to see the actual death lists (by name) that are far in excess of the DoD published tallies.

One of my friends in a famous investigative agency says that two things are most prominent here; the incredible number of serious threats made against our President and the growing leaks of major, and extremely negative, information.

With Bush on the skids and his grasp on power shrinking day to day and Cheney slipping even worse, many who were afraid to open their mouths before are now singing like an opera star. The interesting aspect of this is that most of this awful and damning material is not being sent to the American media (which is seen as useless and pro-Bush) but to foreign agencies and press entities.

The degree of the damage to the reputation of the United States is appalling but he who sows the wind will certainly reap the whirlwind.

The so-called ‘Lincoln Group’ has been exposed as having planted numerous official DoD fictions in the foreign press. It is also known that they, and others, have been busy planting the same lies in the domestic press.

One of these is the oft-“leaked” information that the U.S. is planning to bomb or invade Iraq because we are concerned that they are going to obtain an atomic weapon “in about ten years.”

First of all, we are not going to bomb nor invade Iran. Our current military situation is so precarious that we couldn’t invade Tijuana.

Israel, who wants us to fight their wars for them, is actually terrified that Iran might have such a bomb (and it is indeed known that they have the ability to deliver an atomic warhead to Tel Aviv or, even more interestingly, the Green Zone in Baghdad,) and wants nothing to do with further agitation against Tehran for fear that it could cause them to launch an preemptive attack.

The fictional “ten year” bomb is an attempt to placate the American people and nothing else. A number of American intelligence reports circulating around the Beltway indicate, with some unanimity, that the Iranians have at least one warhead, supplied either directly or indirectly by Russia or Pakistan.

Since the Iranian launching facilities are numerous and scattered, a preemptive American or Israeli bombing attack would be a pure crap shoot and like finding a needle in a haystack.

If we missed our target, and the presumption is that we would, the retaliation would be terrible to contemplate. As a result, the feeble-minded Bush people are now trying to get everyone else in the world to go after Iran while issuing faked stories about bombing raids and invasions.

There are always many who believe any propaganda issued by a government, no matter how fatuous it is on the surface but the Iranians, Russians and the rest of the Muslim world pay no attention to our clever attempts to brilliantly fool them, knowing how impossible it is in fact.

Faked “tapes” from top bin Laden people or even from the long-deceased bin Laden himself have as much credibility as one of Bush’s “trust me” babbles or even the notorious “Orange Alert” days they have put back into the closet as being too unbelievable for any one but the remaining Pentecostal and proto-fascist diehard supporters of the dying regime.

Putin, in his quiet way, has been methodically improving Russia’s world position while at the same time, waging a very successful economic warfare against Bush.

Because Putin has ousted the Jewish oligarchs from the control of vital Russian oil and gas reserves, naturally, the American media bleats about Putin’s lack of respect for the civil rights of others.

How this administration, with its official torture policies and illegal domestic spying can dare to criticize any country as being undemocratic or in gross violations of the civil rights of their people is an exercise in gross hypocrisy.

America is running out of suppliers of oil and gas at an astonishing rate as more and more oil producing countries are finding other markets. That Putin has a hand in this is without a doubt and certainly explains the loud bleating about his “bad civil rights record.”

That will not get us the oil we need and when the cost of a gallon of gas or heating oil soars upwards, Bush and his people can then look for the Eskimos or the Australian Aborigines to blame for their own appalling incompetence and pig headed stupidity.

Napoleon’s Foreign Minister, Talleyrand, once said of an incident that it was worse than a crime; it was a mistake. This aptly sums up the decline and fall of militant Republicanism in the United States, as manifested by the corruption and utter incompetence of the Bush Administration.

This has been an administration whose course has been marked with blatant lies, vicious ad homonym attacks on any critic and policies dominated by a fatal mixture of hubris and utter stupidity. The WMD deliberate lies, the badly botched military actions in Iraq, the utter failure to anticipate both the savage and effective Iraqi resistance and the pending civil war, the bumbling and gross incompetence during the long-anticipated hurricane damage in New Orleans, the daily manifestations of cronyism, corruption and lies, the contemptuous arrogance of a Vice President who has done more damage to the Republican Party than any Democratic strategist could conjure, are a growing litany of moral bankruptcy.

The present uproar over the Bush people’s attempting to give vital U.S. port supervision to a dubious Arab country was highlighted by a petulant President who stated in public that as he had decided this was “good for America” he would veto any attempt on the part of an outraged Congress to demand further investigation. By antagonizing Congress and painting himself into a public relations corner, Bush has once more demonstrated his utter lack of fitness to run the United States and if Congress, as it has strongly indicated, passes a bill to nullify Bush’s latest folly, they can easily override any Bush veto. If that should happen, it would be the turning point in the Bush Follies and power to govern would finally pass to Congress.

We would then have three more years of open warfare between the fanatics in the Administration and Congress, which certainly would benefit no one. Bush has shown himself totally incapable of any kind of common sense or compromise and that which will not bend, will break.

If, on the other hand, the Republican leadership is able to penetrate the Stygian gloom that seems to be the permanent condition of Bush’s consciousness, and he backs off the deal, no matter how much his and his aides finesse it, Congress will have won.

February 20, 2006

I have been informed recently by three different Beltway people in positions of knowledge, that important Republican backers are afraid that the perceived gross incompetence of the Bush Administration cannot be reversed and will only increase.

Therefore, they have decided that Vice President Dick Cheney must be made the focus of growing public anger directed at the endless and senseless war in Iraq, the rising prices of gasoline, the slumping economy, the very valid perception of the Bush Administration as corrupt and inefficient and must go and that for the next three years, Bush needs to have a moderate and saleable Republican vice president that can effectively run in '08.

Also, with the Mid-Terms coming up in November, they feel that if Cheney isn't booted out, now, that the Republicans may well lose one, or both, houses as a result of these elections.

Fear and loss of power is a wonderful motivator.

Cheney is an arrogant shit who pushes the weaker Bush around, pays no attention whatsoever to his staff and does exactly what he pleases, when he pleases.

He was the man behind the disastrous Iraqi war, the torture of prisoners, the subversion of both Georgia and the Ukraine, a strong voice for the invasion and neutralizing of Venezuela, the destruction of Hamas in Palestine, total support for Israel, has pushed frantically for a universal draft and in general has done terrible damage to the image of not only the White House but the country.

He will never abandon his power position voluntarily and will only grow more truculent and domineering as challenges to his person increase so the question now going around the upper circles of Washington and the top Republican leadership in Congress is how to oust this dangerous boor without Cheney fighting back, using inside knowledge that would not only wreck Bush but his administration and the prospects of the Republican party as well.

The growing press attacks on Cheney are being orchestrated by Those On High and in actuality, no one cares if he had a few drinks and then shot his friend at point blank range during a quail hunt. His actions, and those of his staff, immediately after the incident, would lend credence to the strong rumors that Cheney has too much to drink and overreacted to someone running towards him with a weapon. His utter arrogance in not bothering to inform the President or even top White House staff after the incident and his obvious determination to ignore the unfortunate accident is typical of the man. His behavior has reflected negatively, not only on his own character but has made the White House look like it was run by liars, obfuscators and fools.

February 16, 2006

About a month ago, I was contacted by an individual who told me that they had “hundreds of tapes” they had made of private, cell-phone conversations across the country, from 2002 until present.

Last weekend I listened to approximately 20 tapes out of close to 500, played to me over the telephone (I have never met the owners) . They had gathered their information from: New York City, Westchester County in New York, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, McLean, Vienna, Annadale, Tyson’s Corner and Arlington in Virginia, Potomac and Bathesda in Maryland, and, of course, the District of Columbia, Miami, Jacksonville and Naples in Florida, Dallas,, Austin, Houston and Ft. Worth in Texas, various areas in southern Arizona, San Francisco, Mountain View, Malibu, Hollywood, Playa del Ray, San Diego and Sacramento in California and Las Vegas, Nevada.

These conversations, which are unidentified as to speaker or telephone number, range from sexually idiotic dribblings through various possible (though unspecific) criminal activities to include conversations about murder, kidnappings and extortions, adultery, sexual depravity, (“I want you to beat me and put cigarettes out on my nipples!”) theft, embezzlement, and, of course, gross political corruption.

Since it is probable that such taping is probably illegal (or quickly would be made so by a terrified Congress,) I told them I regretted that I could not accept nor have anything to do with these, but suggested that they could edit them for interest and put them out on CDs for their own considerable enrichment and the edification of the public.

I, and a growing number of others, feel that unless the public (the ultimate victims) know what is really happening, the Bush fascists will have free reign to enforce their criminal rules to prevent public rebellion.

Making CDs is very easy and very cheap and if a national marketer would not be interested, it is obvious that they could also produce and distribute them from abroad.

Although the parties are not specifically identified, in a number of cases, positions and ranks are certainly mentioned, I am positive that the speakers will recognize their own voices as will others. I would imagine that if they follow through on their production and distribution plans, there will be wet seats all across corporate, political, military and high society America. I can just hear someone say, “Why Maudie, that sounds just like you and Dr. Carstairs! Has Ben heard these?,” or, “That must be Senator ***** but is that his niece? My God, she’s only eleven!.” Or even more interesting, “That certainly sounds like Dr. *** *********, doesn’t it? My wife and I listen to his inspirational religious program every Sunday. Why his secretary must be sixty if she’s a day! I can’t imagine him saying things like that, can you? And he’d probably have a stroke if he ever tried to do those disgusting things.”

It never ceases to amaze me how stupid people are and in this case, the assumption by “important” governmental or corporate entities that either their private cellphone system is “totally secure,” which it certainly isn’t, or that no one can hear them, is completely in error.

I did tell the tape people that if it were illegal and they were pulled in on it, to tell the Grand Inquisitor that they got the tapes from a good friend on the inside at NSA or personally from Judge Chertoff. Actually the NSA is the better choice since they have been doing this for years, long before Bush and Cheney arrived on the scene, and Chertoff is on the way out.

The New York Times, the Washington Post, the Manchester Guardian, the San Francisco Chronicle and many other news organs would doubtlessly like to lay their hands on these forthcoming CDs and a new parlor game in the newsrooms, and across America, would be “Guess the Name!.”

Swift was too kind in his appraisal of humanity, I have to say after listening to only a fraction of these.

Is there a lesson to be learned in all of this? Certainly, but it is too obvious to state: Shut your mouth, clean up your act and get on with your life.

February 13, 2006

Two subjects for the readership today. The first deals with the recent shooting accident of the Vice President and the second with a far more serious matter; the incapacitation of President during the opening days of the Katrina crisis.

The Cheney story is by now well covered in the American media.

‘The shooting was first reported by the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. The vice president's office did not disclose the accident until nearly 24 hours after it happened.

Armstrong said she was watching from a car while Cheney, Whittington and another hunter got out of the vehicle to shoot at a covey of quail.

Whittington shot a bird and went to look for it in the tall grass, while Cheney and the third hunter walked to another spot and discovered a second covey.

Whittington "came up from behind the vice president and the other hunter and didn't signal them or indicate to them or announce himself," Armstrong said.

"The vice president didn't see him," she continued. "The covey flushed and the vice president picked out a bird and was following it and shot. And by god, Harry was in the line of fire and got peppered pretty good." (My, my!)

This is a quote off the wire. Had an email from someone who saw the initial SS report to the White House and it runs almost the same except to put a slightly different spin on it. Cheney, heavily guarded and accompanied by a small army of security men and a few medical personnel, was hunting quail in thin brush. One of the party who was a little behind him shot a quail and had to hunt it up in the bush. He found the bird and then charged after the Cheney people. The VP, who is terrified that people are going to assassinate him, heard his friend calling and crashing towards him, saw a figure with a gun... and fired right at him.

Man was hit in the face with bird shot.

Cheney was stone sober at the time and I am surprised he was shooting at birds on the wing. Normally, he likes tethered or tame game so he won't have to overexert himself. A tame white duck, trussed up and hanging up, alive, in a tree (not too high) is a perfect point blank target for the sportsman Cheney.

The only sinister aspect to this is the hysterical behavior of the VP .

I have done a lot of hunting in my life: quail, pheasants, ducks, geese, a big rabbit hunt in Germany with beaters and all, German wild boar, deer, elk and the occasional beater.

I have gone after quail before and know the part of Texas they are talking about. I am positive it all happened as described but am equally positive that Cheney way overreacted and shot out of sheer terror.

Think about it. Our senior leadership is not only corrupt, they are nuttier than fruitcakes!

Now, on to much more serious matters:

There are growing questions in the media and also in Congress as to exactly why President Bush was “not available” during the vital first few days of the Katrina disaster. There are statements, made under oath before Congress, by former FEMA director Brown that he always bypassed DHS Secretary Chertoff on important matters because of the latter’s gross incompetence.

Brown testified that he personally notified Bush, who had gone to his Texas ranch at Crawford before the hurricane hit, on the Sunday that the approaching storm was obviously very serious, was headed directly for the very vulnerable New Orleans and that he, Brown, would keep the President personally informed. On Monday, when it appeared that the New Orleans levees had broken, Brown notified Crawford that this had happened but was not able to speak with the President personally.

As he testified, for the next few days, he was unable to speak with Bush but passed his vital messages to Andrew Card, his chief of staff, or other top Bush officials then at Crawford.

I have personally spoken with personnel at Crawford and also with one accredited newsperson with the Presidential party and have learned that for three days, George W. Bush was “totally unavailable” for any kind of report on the terrible damage caused by Katrina and the urgent need to help the suffering population. Bush did, and said, absolutely nothing.

Why is this?

Quite simply because the President was drunk.

Yes, Bush was, and is, a so-called “binge drinker.” This means that from time to time, often when under pressure, he goes to Crawford for privacy and during his visit, gets royally drunk. During this time, it has been proven impossible to communicate anything to Bush, and his aides and his wife not only shield him from hostile eyes but endeavor to fill in until he is back amongst the living again. In this case, the White House staff in Washington, horrified by the mounting news stories and well aware of the President’s chronic drinking problems, compiled a DVD containing urgent television programs on the progress of the disaster and sent it by courier to Crawford to play for the President.

Three days after the levee collapse and the mounting chaos in New Orleans, Bush apparently regained some degree of sobriety and then decided to leave Crawford…for a fund-raising dinner in Arizona and a photo opportunity in California!.

In spite of the frantic attempts on the part of his staff and senior advisors, he refused to either go to New Orleans or return to Washington. If nothing else, Bush will not be told what to do by anyone and this was the situation here. He duly flew over the flooded city, pointed at the mess for the press cameraman and then relaxed with a nice lunch with his staff.

Realizing that the President could be accused of dereliction of duty, Clever Karl, the Fat Viper, decided to blame the neglect on Brown, released enough material to make a fool out of him and then forced him to retire. Brown, however, had the foresight to keep his communications with the White House and presented them to a Congressional committee.

He certainly managed to overcome the image of a bumbling failure and although very careful about accusing the President, he nevertheless pointed directly to a complete failure on the part of the President and his staff as well as the Director of Homeland Security. He gave much better than he got and now the public, and Congress, has a nice bone to chew on.

To be blunt, Bush and his gang couldn’t run a mechanical whorehouse and the sooner we can rid ourselves of them, the better. If you come up behind Bush, he might like it but Cheney will shoot you. What a guilty conscience this bunker-living bombastic idiot must have.

Pop a paperbag near him and his pump would give out on the spot.
